Yes. As does Boss Frog. (Or maybe they're the same kits? I dunno.)

If OS Giken made a diff for the 8.8, I'd already own one.

I actually spoke with them about this. Its in the works, however OSG USA had a massive worker shake down where all the drifter dudes left and the 1 road racing guy came back, so last I heard they were a 1 man band. Of course they do make an OSG for this.

Good point.

But are you saying that there's no diffs worth a **** for the Ford 8.8? That sounds weird to me. Or are you just focused on OS Gikens?

Anything better on the Getrag CTS-V setup front?

On the 8.8 your choices are; Detroit locker, a selection of torsen types, and phantom grip style clutch types normally called Posi.

I'd want a Detroit Locker on my Miata just because of how hilarious that sounds.

Using the Getrag in the Miata affords you extra room for exhaust routing and such over what the Ford options give you. It's also lighter.

I know the Getrag has been problematic in it's cars (GTO, CTS, etc), but I haven't read of failures when used in the Miata. The Miata is 1000 lbs lighter at the least compared to what it came out of. It will be my option when the time comes.

Sorry, i meant specifically on the aftermarket diff front, or is the Getrag good enough that it won't matter? Personally i was planning on using the Getrag anyways, but if the Ford 8.8 had an awesome diff option the Getrag didn't, i was going to consider jumping ship.

Being able to fit a 3.5 or 4" exhaust would be nice, though.

Hey, how'd you setup the big boy wally in the tank? The 255's rubber isolator doesn't fit quite right on the 400. Did you find one that worked or did you just use that isolator and hose clamp the pump to the pickup bracket?

I did find that the connector that comes on the wally400e85 is a metripack 280, as an FYI to anyone that wants to make the install cleaner.

I'd like to isolate it more, I can still hear it more than I'd like... But it's pretty much all the sound of high flow through small tubes.

I've finished reading my second build thread. First was Fae's, of which parts make much more sense now that I've read Soviet's.

Awesome everything. Those EFR's are something else. I noticed that the stream of baller parts stopped up once the female stig came into the picture.

I've gotten lots of ideas, love how you took things slow and got one thing done at a time to get it done right, even with some setbacks. When I do my motor/subframe swap I am probably going to paint my engine bay with the Duplicolor Chrome, it looks so good on your car in the pics. I was just going to go with semi-gloss black.

Would you recommend going for the Walbro 400 from the get-go, or wait until the build requires it? I'm evaluating my options in case my OE pump up and fails. How deep does the Walbro 255 sock reach compared to stock?

I would recommend DW300 from the get go unless you're comfortable with the grinding/filing/cutting required to make Walbro 400 fit a Miata.

Sure, I don't know about the earlier cars - I guess you've seen both now? I'd like pics of how yours came out, because there was 0 cutting with mine. Remove old pump, strap in new one. Really worked out fine, till my hose clamps fall off and my pump starts rolling around the bottom of my fuel tank. :-)
