No. But it would have been like getting a free ecoboost mustang intake manifold with the oil pan and coolant routing. And I wouldnt have this $500 dry sump sitting in the corner of my garage.

And now I'm ordering and ecoboost mustang intake manifold and 3.5 EB 3 bar map sensor for like $100 from tasca ford. I'll sell my NC intake manifold for more than that.

You're going to buy it anyhow right? For $250 I think you have to.

No. I know someone else who wants to do this swap that I might point them at it.

You think you'll have this thing running for Nationals 2017? I have a good feeling about making the trip this year after 2008 being my last appearance. I'd really like to see this thing since when I had plans of building an SSM car this was the direction I was going to take. I'll likely do the Georgia Tour event at the beginning of the year. I would like to do the Spring Nationals since I've heard Lincoln is not like any other surface and don't wanna show up in September and be totally unprepared. But that is gonna put a big dent in the budget and time off. If it comes down to one or the other it'll obviously in Sept.

Yup. The 3.5 ecoboost has a 3 bar map.

I plan to have this thing together for the first event of the season next year and will be doing nationals.

First local. Nationally I'll do everything in my region and Jersey and some pros in Ohio before heading to Lincoln.

Nope. I had the EMS4 that I'm currently trying to unload really cheap on the next poor sap that thinks name brand better than ghetto MS garbage.

I coulda sworn I read somewhere that you had gotten a really good deal on a MS3pro or module?

Anyhow, I bought the pro module about three Black Friday's ago but only just got it running at the beginning of this year. It replaced a DIYPNP which if it weren't for the VVT I probably would have never replaced it. But now I can't see how I lived without it. It never ceases to amaze me how the MS community project works so well. Yes, pro module is a private evolution but of hardware. The software keeps evolving and you never have to pay for upgrades (I've paypaled a donation or two) unlike other products where you do or you just are not even supported anymore. Long live MegaSquirt!

New T5 info. The "shift lever" the thing at pins to the shift rod and has the detent ball in it and the cup for the shifter stick is now officially mystery metal.
It looks like steel
Got steel like weight
The case is harder than 1018 and makes grey gritty chips
the core is softer than 1018 and makes very nice looking copper colored chips
it tack welds fine with tig and steel filler
it cracks directly down a long bead with both steel and 30 filler
Welding fumes make your tongue feel funny and cant taste right for days

I'm going to braze my steel block to the t5 part.

I've also been busy with other things have havent got much work done. I bought a crown vic for a winter beater and sold the wrx to have more money to build this car and I've been sorting it out. And I also followed in the path of Aidan and did this, which also cut into the budget.

Congratulations!!! Good looking ring.

Interested to see how the brazing goes. I'm glad we are going about this different ways and can compare.

Congrats!

What was the ms3p price at DIY for black friday?

And you sold the rex! Such heartbreak. I've wanted one of those forever haha.

The price was 10% off from normal.

The wrx also had 132k on it, the head gaskets, cylinder 4, and the turbo are on borrowed time.

Thanks for reminder as to why Im iffy about buying a used rex.

Had to do the head on my 02 TS. So much money thrown into that car because I didn't know any better at the time lol.
