I actually let out a little involuntary scream when I saw that picture of the trunk.

I am slowly making progress. Interior is starting to come together and I have made some progress on the exterior.

The car is close to getting ready. First it needed a windshield. Made one from a sheet of lexan by making a template over another miata's windshield.

Then most of the safety equipment is in along with the supermiata aero.

I am assuming you used regular, non-coated Lexan since you had to cut it to shape, correct?
If so, I am interested how it will last. I dont see any wipers in the pics. Will you re-install them you think?

Technically the stuff I got was Makrolon GP which should hold up to the sun better than plain lexan. There is no anti-scratch coating on it though. You can buy sheets with the coating but they cost a lot more. The 4x8 sheet I bought was only $100 so figured it was worth a shot to see how long it lasts. As far as wipers go I dont plan on putting any back in right away.

That center console panel seems really close to the shifter. Hand no hit panel?

It is far enough away to where I dont hit it. I also sat in the seat and went for the shifter in retarded ways to see if it could be a problem and it seemed alright. Also looking at pics of a friends car I drove his console was in the exact same spot an it was fine. Worst case I undo the one right side screw and move it to the next bolt hole which would give more clearance.

Cleaned up the engine bay a bit. After having so much forced induction crap it seems empty now.

Also got it tuned. Car made a decent amount of power NA.

I find it funny to compare the above NA dyno to the one below from when I first threw the JR m45 kit on the stock motor. While it made barely more power with the blower, I made more torque and a lot more low end power NA. Kind of amusing.

You plan on racing in Supermiata on Teins?

Is that even allowed?

I have been too cheap to upgrade to xidas recently. Nothing against running different suspension in the rules and in fact the only rule mentioning it is that the suspension can only have 1 damping adjustment.

Finally got the car together in time for a Supermiata race. I was working on it still 5 min before the first session. The first time I ever sat in the car with a helmet on was strapping in to head out.

The car ran great all weekend. Except for shooting out another crank pulley. My car must really hate this track. At least this time I brought a spare.

And obligatory video from one of the races. I was slightly faster on the second day but this is a more fun video to watch.
