Syncing the carbs yourself right? The first few times are a royal pain in the ***. Once you get the hang of it, you can do it in no time.

Yea, I'm mainly waiting for the temperature to cool down. I'm really sick of sweating my *** off. I still have a lot of work to do on the carbs to get them where they need to be.

I really have been craving work on this car, but the weather just won't let up. I'm in a storage unit now so it is even worse since I don't have water, food, or an air conditioned house 5 feet away.

I am going to try and get some work done by the end of this month, at least set the timing, sync the carbs, and bleed the brakes and clutch.

There is some contact with the transmission and the trans tunnel so I have to cut off two tabs for the stock transmission mount which protrude into the trans tunnel. The getrag 245 is a bit chunkier and makes contact. Also the engine is shaking pretty bad. I may have forgotten to tighten the engine mounts all the way down or something. Need to double check that.

I am definitely going with a more race focused build now. The daily driver is perfect and I want this to be light and nimble for some fun autox and maybe more. So I will probably lose some of the comforts, as well as the sound system. That needed to go anyway since I'm going to be dropping the seats down and mounting them to the floor. No space for the subs under the seats anymore.

Just updating this to ensure everyone the car hasn't been parted out yet, contrary to the title.

It's been 8 months with no updates, did I miss the part out thread?

But all joking aside, I saw a 2002 with a "For Sale" in the window the other day and I immediately remembered this thread. Still got the car? Any new updates?
