They are behind schedule and I've had to borrow a car for a work trip to Virginia Tech. I hope I get it back sooner than later. I still need to do a lot for suspension. Hoping Downmented can help me out if he's free.

Do you have a projected completion date when you will get it back from them? When we have a better idea I can arrange our garage/ lift time.

I was hoping by this weekend. It gets fully primed today. But it isn't done till it's done so I cannot say for sure. I'd expect be next weekend. I'll hold off on the brake job as I can do that myself. Just tank, subframes and arms.

I'm having a difficult time believing I'll have this up and ready for a trackday I'm registered for Sept 9.

I still need to:

Install gas tank
Rear Subframe
Front Subframe
Control Arms
Brakes
Suspension
and align.

I was hoping to sneak the oil cooler into that list, but I have no clue if I'll get the routing in time.

I guess the short version could be just suspension, brakes, and alignment, but man my bushings are shot.

Go to harbor freight and buy their hand tools. They're cheap, and really not bad quality (as long as you stay away from their pliers). Sockets/socket wrenches, etc are good there.

I dunno. The underside of these cars are just so damned simple. I feel like with one helper that sounds like about a full day's work plus alignment.

You got this.

I just fear being stuck at PPF bolts, or breaking something else, or shredding my hands on butterfly braces or a number of other lame excuses. We'll see, once I get the car back I'll start looking at places. I have a lead on a shop that'll rent space for $10 an hour with a lift (bring your own tools). Might be worthwhile for the bigger items, I can always do brake and suspension install on my own.

$10/hour is wellllll worth it for a clean work space with a lift. Go load up on harbor freight tools, PB blaster, breaker bar. Spray the PB blaster on everything a couple times throughout the day before (just leave the car in the air, crawl under there and spray everything every couple hours if possible). Then go to town on it.

So I pick the car up Friday! Only three weeks late, and still so much to do!

I'm gone nearly all August so I'll have but one or two weekends to swap all the things and shake down before track day

Sounds like this build is about to hit the fast forward button, nothing like knocking out a bunch of **** all at once.

Really pumped to see this car with the repaint!
