Don't involve me in your relationship problems. It's all boxed up and ready to go, it's just getting to the ******* post office on time. It closes it 5, I get off at 5. I m going to try and have my dad drop it off.

It's beautiful, by the way. Get ready to have your phone blown up soon.

Update: aw yiss

Military stuff is getting finished right now. Retard management DID NOT hire my replacement yet so I'm still working 5 nights and going to the gym 4 mornings, but still working on the car when I have time. Goombay and Fantasy Fest kicked my *** this year but left me with plenty of car money.

All the pieces of the puzzle are coming together. I decided to go with through the fender for hotside piping. After mocking up with my old engine in the car, it just makes sense. I will have more room for the air filter, keep 2.5" pipes, no a/c issues, better access to my wastegate, the best turbo-to-shelf clearance, etc...the list goes on. Parts are already here for that nonsense.

Starting working on fitting the Fab9 big bitch intercooler. Good lord it's huge. Dem said that a/c is still feasible if you just play around with it. The first test fit showed that I had about 1.25" between the car and the mount tab due to the dryer can. After loosening the bracket (thank you Mazda for making things simple) I easily pushed the can upwards and to the right, then secured the clamp back. Now I'm only 3/4" distance between the car and mounting tab. The a/c lines are plenty flexible and I'll have it sitting nicely next time.

I'm assembling my own oil lines for the turbo and water line for the wastegate. The pan on the new motor has a better drain fitting than my old one, so I'm just going to keep the pan instead of swapping my old one over (it's great having two motors to pick and pull pieces from). Clearance between the turbo and wastegate is really tight, but thankfully the MVS cover can rotated. I also ordered a Thermal Zero T3 blanket to help keep things somewhat cool.

New water pump/timing belt for motor just because. Motor only has 12k-ish on it but I feel like I should do it anyway with a GMB pump and gates belt. Also doing the rear main seal and all new gaskets through out. I know I'll regret it later if I don't.

Lots of small projects planned once I'm satisfied with the mock-up and get the old motor out for good. Pressure washing 200k miles worth of dirt and grime, pulling the steering rack for a proper de-power instead of just using the plugs, going to use a spray on rubberized coating for the trans tunnel to help with noise and heat. The cleaning process has been a huge bitch, but that's what I get for letting it get so dirty when I was younger. Doing frame rails before the new carpet goes in, as well.

I'll also be making a new thread for when I pull the old motor apart and finally see wtf is in there and how it survived all this time

Edit: Forget to mention the inside. Fresh-ish carpet going in. Putting that stick on matting everywhere I possibly can to keep the inside quiet. No more loud.

Picturs coming soon. Late and probably not in order, as usual.

I heard he dyno'ed it and it made infinity horsepower but then he realized he would have to drive 200 miles to see a speed limit in excess of 30 mph.

I almost feel sorry for you....almost.

Edit: Might as well update. Car is not parted out or given up on. I will be buried in this car.

The rear end is out due to anticipation for my 3.3 set. I think I got a little ahead of myself. I should have known that there will always be some delays on specific development parts. Pulled the gas tank out while I was down there. Redoing all my fuel pump wiring ala the Soviet method. My car is old and needs some big time R&R.

I have the new motor on the stand completed with my ID 1k's and the necessary accessories hooked up on the coldside and the turbo manifold bolted up using my custom studs (had to get some shortened). Using some old hem joints I'm making an intake manifold brace for added insurance.

Old motor is about to be torn down and parted. Engine bay is getting thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. 220k miles of daily driver abuse...you can only imagine the grime I've found.

To make this car last another 20yrs I've been slaving over every detail to keep it nice. It's easily the hardest thing about the project. Everything from the drivetrain to the interior to the wiring throughout is being changed, worked or renewed. Quite the task but I'm enjoying it.

When I am able to swear in to Obama's Muslim Brotherhood Army and relinquish myself from my current work and into a 6 month vacation I will start the final assembly. For now....I do really ******* heavy deadlifts.

Someone's gonna borrow my car if I go overseas. It's gonna be Troy or Ryan. I don't think Troy will be interested in my fuel injected, turbocharged, magic machine

I am sure I would acclimate just fine. However, I am already fighting battles on multiple fronts.

Troy is ready to learn to play with Megasquirt. And he would do all sorts of very nice OCD upgrades and weight reduction to it. I'd trust him with mine of it didn't have A/C. He'd likely remove my A/C against my will, haha!

And Ryan would probably stick a quad 40R W12 running 100psi and do rolling burnouts at 220 in it.

So you can't lose either way

This is exactly what crossed my mind when debating between these two.
Troy. Why is my a/c gone? And what happened to the new carpet and seats I bought?-"Too heavy. Stop being a girl. I sold your fuel injectors, too."

Ryan. Did the car run ok while I was gone?-"No it was slow. Found a used Russian submarine engine on craigslist. Now you can drive underwater and fly to the moon. I also installed another 1.6 in the trunk."

Or worse....he lets Vlad drive it. I come back and find my car like this.

I really like the wagons, honestly

Then it is settled, I will hold your miata while you are overseas and install the best engine of them all in it, a 1.8L.

Do you know what it's like to window shop looking for a decent book to read? Perhaps a story of a king building a mighty empire, complete with the stories of his heroic and powerful army. While small in number with an infantry of 1.6k men, they were powerful and had the potential to vanquish all foes.

Then you find that book, while browsing online at 2 in the morning. Looks exciting, and has so much potential to be an amazing story with a spectacular ending wrapping up the plot with a neat tidy bow. Then you get to page 15 of the book and the author is like, loljkbrb. The end.

Tl;Dr: Always start at the end of books.

Edit: (I feel like this should have gone in the Drunken Debauchery thread. I need sleep.)
