I'm not aware of any particular problems with the Stant, but I will say that I had two, yes TWO generic autozone/O'Reilly thermostats stick closed on me a while back. I switched to a NAPA superstat (which I believe is a rebranded stant) and never had another problem.

Did the video post correctly? Did you watch it? It's not an uber fail, the thermostat works, however it opens a little less and a little later than advertised if I remember correctly. Also takes longer to open.

Really it was just an excuse to post an awesome JP video.
