my home kit was built off a ebay cast manifold, with a t2 flange welded on top of the T3. MSD 550cc's with honda reisitor box wired in. SARD BOV, MS ecu.

good for now. but my clutch is slipping as i raised boost to a final 14 psi.. looking to order up some forged internals for a rebuild(just because), 949 twin disc clutch, and an os diff... hope you enjoyed. wish i got more photos but it was a quick weekend. thanks to my good friend duff for helping we swap the MS out of my other miata to the boosted one!

I'm a little torn here: its a nice build, but

- you used a quality garrett turbo with a cheap ebay log mani
- you converted the mani to t2 when there is a crazy amount of nice t3 turbos available
- you're rebuilding dinky 1.6 then buying a baller clutch and baller diff

i may..

the garrett was aquired off a trade so i decided to use the "free" turbo

i really wanted to use a t2 like a 28 or 30... but that t25 fell into my lap

i have 1.6's and 1.8 blocks to play with.. rebuilds are really cheap and i do just about everything myself.
(have a 1.8 ready for rebuild, a 10:1 supertech eagle rod 1.8l shotblock ready, and FM t2 log manifold.. so its only a matter of time to try out some combos. i never gave the 1.6l a chance in my blue miata.. my bother has a boosted 94 too. just playing with some parts laying around. and i really pushed to complete it before i deployed to afghanistan.. im here now and hae until next september to decide where its headed.. clutch and diff are something i can carry over to any of my setups.)


Fireindc- drives great! im really pleased with the outcome. i need to get some better bends and redo my downpipe. maybe drop back to a 2.5DP for better clearance if needed..

damn, wish i knew sooner. i ordered my DB probably well over a month ago.. i will be in the market for another Ms setup. i want to put one back into my blue beater miata (1990).. possibly throwing this 1.6 setup in or dropping my 11:1 BP into it... any deals on the new msx? or anything old laying around


imagine how excited i am ha.. we can hopefully get started on my R&R! at least the short block...

cannot wait to get it together! not trying to rush the build thou. i want to finish the short block 1st.. then focus on a head, hopefully i can come across a 99/00..

PM me the savings please, i could always order a ms1 and build it with this DB.. it would be more then enough to replace the Oem ecu in my 90 beater... it would be even better if i can build it while im working over here..
