1990 Mazda Miata autocross prepped

SSM or XP

1990 1.6 liter, 134,000 miles. Older style BEGi intercooled turbo kit based on IHI RBH5turbo. (Small turbo spools fast forautocross.) Kit upgrades include newerstyle downpipe and Bipes ECU for timing management. Currently setup to run 8 psi of boost. Other upgrades include:
Enthuza turbo exhaust w/ 2.75” diameter pipe
1996 Torsen differential with 4.1 gears
Cat bypass pipe (not currently installed)
HKS cams
Unorthodox Racing adjustable cam gears
Unorthodox Racing solid hub Kevlar clutch kit

I’ve had the car to three auto-x events in 2009 and the car has been FTD at all three events. Car is ready to go and can be driven anywhere.

Did you ever dyno the car? I'm just curious what the plot would look like.

I never did dyno the car. Similar setups have yielded 160-170 rwhp. The car accelerates quicker than a factory stock MSM.

This is one fast Miata. I have seen him FTD many times at our local auto X. Rich is also a great guy all around.
