This is an original Shelby Can Am Race Car, chassis number 037. This is one of the last Can Am's with the original Engine Seal's are still intact. The engine has never been opened and still runs great!!!! The car will be ready to race with fresh tires and a new fuel cell, this car would be perfect for Vintage racing and qualifies for several different classes. The engine is a 3.0 liter and was rated at 255HP. This particular car was noted for it's powerful acceleration over other Can Am Racers. The car has MANY extras including an extra body, wheels with rain slicks, different springs, sway bars, brake pads, splitter, and an engine stand. Pics of the spare parts available on request. As a kid I remember watching these race at Mosport. They were quick and I always thought the bodies were so cool with the hidden rear wheels, but the open rear end. Good luck with the sale, it's a really cool car.
