Default 350 RWHP LS1 Miata - Charleston, SC

Category: Import
Status: Clean Title

I have a 1990 Mazda Miata for sale, in USA - South Carolina.

Engine Size: 350 CI

Asking price is $10,000

I'm looking to sell my V8 Miata project (bad back = too much pain to finish it). The car runs and is street ready. The car is very ugly and has a cracked windshield. Comes with a second "pretty" Miata that has been seam welded and sound proofed. I have the heat shielding ready to go in but it has not been installed. Professionally tuned on the dyno to 350 RWHP. The car will get 30 MPG on the interstate (barely above idle in 6th gear). This is a ridiculously scary death machine. I'm asking $10,000 and you can see the car here and all details here:

http://www.lightweightmiata.com/v8/forsale/

Yes, there is something sticking out of the hood. I kind of like it but if you don't it will cost about $20 to fix (just add a 90 degree intake hose). The 2nd Miata has a hood without holes so you can keep everything under wraps.

This video was shot before the car was tuned:

Not many pics of the 2nd car but you can see it here (the hard top was removed and sold):

Seems like a great price on this monster. I can't believe this is even crossing my mind, but are there any trades you would consider? GLWS.

Sure, I would trade for a stack of $100 bills. We have 5 cars sitting around now and I would like to free up some room. I need to get rid of toys instead of getting more.

Thread cleansed. How about we let the guy sell his car, and leave the ---- grammatical analysis (eww, that actually sounds nasty), for NON classified threads.

KTHXBY.

Hole was in the hood when you bought it or no?
If it was only $20 for a coupler to avoid the hood hole
But getting out the saw was the chosen route, makes me wonder about
The rest of the assembly.

if you haven't noticed, the whole car is ****-ugly, and will be ****-ugly even if you fix the hole in the hood.

you could just buy another nice shell for cheap, though.

The original owner had a butt ugly hood worth about $20. He wanted cold air and cut the hood to get air from in front of the radiator. The hole and hose sticking out of it has become my favorite feature of the car. No matter where I go people see the hole in the hood and come running to see what is in there. Even with the car parked it draws a crowd.

If I don't sell the car will I cut a hole in the hood of my swap car when the drive train gets moved over? Absolutely not. But it was fun while it lasted.

I've gotten a few requests for pics under the car.

What kit was used to put the V8 in? What did you use to bolt up the rear end and transmission. I think it would be a fun car.

Yes, the heater works. The swap car has AC, the V8 car does not.

An LSX Miata is a totally different experience to rip around in coming out of corners and sliding the butt around. Straight line wheelspin is also fun. I'm considering doing another one (quicker turnaround this time) and this is tempting. Someone buy it before I show up with another Miata and my wife repos my nuts.

To repo means shes already given them back. If this is the case, how'd you manage that????

I promised to finish her Sebring 'vert that I swapped a 3.0 Eclipse motor into now that my Miata is roadworthy. I think hers skipped a a few teeth on the timing belt so I'll probably be swapping heads. Pretty sure the clacking is bent valves. BTDT on my Eclipse back in the day.

Sorry for the threadjack.
