Default 1992 Mazda Miata Turbo Hardtop - $$6000 obo

Category: Import
Status: Clean Title

I have a 1992 Mazda Miata Turbo Hardtop for sale, in USA - Iowa.

Mileage: 149k miles
Engine Size: 1.6l Turbo

Asking price is $$6000 obo

Alright guys, up for grabs is my 1992 Sunburst Yellow Miata Turbo. It has a lot done to it, all by the previous owner (of 20 years), so I will try to get it all in there. 149,XXX on the clock.

New shortblock (lower compression from an automatic miata (allows more boost safely)) at 95k miles.
Lower mileage head. 3-angle valve job. Gasket matched. Chambers cc'd.
Aluminum radiator.
Power Steering.
Bell Intercooler.
Big ball bearing turbo from FM
Link ecu with air temp sensor, keypad, and serial interface.
Billet Fuel rail.
Lightened 1.8 flywheel with FM kevlar clutch
Eibach springs
FM sway bars
Tokiko adjustable shocks.
Hawk HP Plus brake pads.
Stainless braided brake lines
Gleason torsen differential with 1.8 half shafts and drive shaft.
HardDog Hardcore bar with diagonal and harness bar.
MOMO steering wheel and new shift ****.
1 set of blacked out rims, 1 set of silver
New Cloth Top
Matching Yellow Hardtop

AC currently doesnt work (broken line), but the compressor works. Just need to fix that one line. Its a convertible, never cared.

It does also have a decent sound system, Pioneer Deck, JBL door speakers, MTX headrest speakers, and a 1000w pioneer sub in the back. With the hard top on it sounds incredible, but even with the top down, it sounds phenomenal.

Overall an incredible car, I have it running 10psi right now which is far more than enough for me (I have other toys for faster adventures). Runs strong and reliably. Maintenance done on schedule. This thing was done right. There is a little bit of rust starting to appear on the rocker panels, and the paint is as you would expect from a 20 year old vehicle. It's actually surprisingly unfaded.

Drivers seat has hole in the front of it where the harness was threaded through, but it's just fine.

Just ask any questions you might have. I can take more pics, these were just taken tonight in my garage with my iphone.

Only reason I'm selling it is because I need space. I have too many toys all of the time and need to lessen my collection. I'm already using 2 friends storage garages lol.. This is currently my daily driver along with my motorcycle so miles will be going up but not much. I will consider parting it out if I get enough demand for high end parts right away. I need some money for my Subaru Impreza WRX STI.

Price is negotiable, if you think it's ridiculous, just tell me in a PM or email. I'm from the BMW world and very much inexperienced in the Miata realm. Offer anything up, I'll consider just about everything, I'm not going to get offended, worst I can say is no. Clean title and title in hand. Email offers to ahheck09 at gmail dot com preferrably. NO TRADES. I don't have any more room and I could use the cash for my STI. I really wish I could keep this but garage space is getting expensive. So is insurance lol..

Located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa

$6000 OBO. Seriously, just offer.

Took iPhone Pics down, About to put good pictures up.

tell me if that doesnt work for whatever reason, I'd put them up on here but that's going to get cluttered.

Definitely willing to sell the Hard Top and Car Seperately. The hard top is Mint. All hardware, factory yellow hardtop with defrost. I shopped around before I bought this car and the hard tops generally go for 1000-2500 depending on style and condition. This being factory, yellow (supposedly factory yellow hard tops were pretty rare?), rear defrost, and hardly ever used, I'd say it definitely is in the premiere level of hard top. Just make any kind of offer on that guy if you just want the top.

Ok what the heck. What did I do? If the price is unreasonable tell me. Seriously I have no loan or anything I just want the car to go to good hands. I'd love to get a fair price out of it. But this was a complete guess as to where I would start it. Why would i get banned...? The car is mine it's not some scam or anything. I can take more pictures.

We have rules and standards on this forum. lol

You spammed your way to 10 posts when you realized you couldn't just make a for sale right off the start. We have no idea who you are.

Too help you out a bit; your price is too high.

Well tell me what info I should give and where. I have no problem taking the time to get known on here. I just wanted to get this up in some form because I'm a complete noob in the Miata world so price and everything I just have no idea. What is a fair price for it? I want it to go to a good home not some cl guy.

Essentially this.

Start by making an intro thread (what you should have done)

Post pics of the car, information, the purpose of it being built, what it was used for, etc.. Details make the difference. Good photos in a well lit area of the car, parts, etc..

There are many things that can affect the price of the car. You'll need to spend some time reading up on all the little things that can make a difference.

You passed the first test by not copping a pissy attitude when I called you a faggette. 99% of the post spammers would have said, "Well *** you homo ***** I ain't a faggette come fight me in da parkin' lawt"

You acted like an adult, so you get props

Add a location under your username, too.

For what it's worth, I think $6,000 is a reasonable price. It looks like a fun car. Good luck with your sale.

Haha fair enough guys. Sorry it's been a hectic week/weekend. I'll take some better and more comprehensive pictures later today given the chance. Worst case tomorrow. I just wanted to get it online for the time being. Those are crappy iPhone pics from my 2nd garage. Lol. I'll remedy the situation.

Thanks guys.

Thanks man! I wish I didn't have to get rid of it. But garages are getting too expensive. As is insurance on so many different toys. Just gotta stick to a few "staples" right now.
