Default 1997 Mazda Miata-Mr Hyde - $7,800

Category: Import
Status: Clean Title

I have a 1997 Mazda Miata-Mr Hyde for sale, in USA - Pennsylvania.

Mileage: 2000 miles
Engine Size: 1.8L supercharged

Asking price is $7,800

You have all heard the story of Doctor Jekyll and Mr Hyde, well meet the Mr Hyde of the two Miatas I have for sale. Clean, rust free, non smoker owned. Built to rival my sons 91 Miata Turbo, this car is set up for the spirited owner who wants a car for the street, but for the track as well.

The following have less than 2000 street miles on them
Long block motor rebuild (original motor)
New Clutch
Jackson Racing supercharger
Upgraded Jackson Racing outlet manifold to supercharger.
Trackdog racing belt tensioner.
Power Card Pro fuel management system.
LC-1 standalone wideband controller with 02 sensor.
J&S Safeguard knock control system.
Trackdog Racing air to air intercooler system
Trackdog intercooler upper and lower shrouding
PWR oversized aluminum radiator.
Bell Engineering coolant reroute.
Jackson Racing header.
Trackdog Racing insulated heat shield.
Boss Frog cat delete pipe.
Racing Beat sport mid pipe.
Racing Beat PowerPulse muffler.
Trackdog Racing custom gauge kit with boost gauge, water temp gauge and digital Air/Fuel ratio gauge.
HardDog Fabrication Polished double diagonal roll bar.
Flyin Miata 2.5 suspension kit.
Soft top replaced 2 years ago
New brake rotors with EBC yellow stuff pads.
G-Force 5 point harnesses driver and passenger side.
Ultrashield Track Dog racing seat drivers side (stock seat comes with car if so desired)
Stock Passenger seat
Sparco steering wheel.
Car is rust free, has 95% of it's original sheet metal (drivers fender has been replaced some time in it's past)
New Ferarri Red paint job
New 195/50/15 Yokohama tires
I have the stock steering wheel and air bag that goes along with the car.
Too much more to list.
CLEAN CAR FAX (I am the third owner first two were in the same family)

Well over $14,000 in the last two years making this a one of a kind, well built street/track car

I am not a dealer, just an enthusiast who wanted a nice father/son rivalry (see my post for Dr Jekyll and you'll understand). The ultimate goal was to have a true dual purpose toy that I could use with my son and his. However, with the sale of my sons car, having mine is just not the same, so reluctantly I put it up for sale as well.

Serious responses only please. This is an in person cash sale, I am not willing to take bank checks or wire transfers, nor am I looking for any trades at this time.

Does it still have power steering and air conditioning? How many miles are on the chassis? Any dyno numbers available?

It still retains it's power steering, but the AC has been removed, I have the compressor, lines, and condenser, but may be missing the bracket for the compressor. Car has never been on a chassis dyno. Nearest dyno where I trust the owner/operator is 145 miles away in Rockaway, NJ. I purposely did not make any WAG claims to HP because of this as I would not be able to back it up with the dyno sheets.....Mileage on the chassis as of this morning (subject to change at any given time ) 142,285.

Any other questions, just let me know.

Folks, the bottom line is $6,400, and once again, while I appreciate the offers for other vehicles, I'm not looking for trades, At $6,400, you won't find a cleaner, well built, best engineered car out on the market.

I like your car. A bit tempted. Saw it on Ebay earlier as well.
You still got the original seat? Is the hard top painted the same colour?

Any rough estimate on the HP...?

I have an original drivers seat, yes.
Hardtop is painted to match
Rough HP just based on what others have stated with a similar set up, maybe 240-260hp. However, as a disclaimer, I have no dyno sheet to back that up which is why I was hesitant to put that in the for sale ad.
