Default 1999 Subaru Legacy Outback Ltd - $3800

Category: Import
Status: Clean Title

I have a 1999 Subaru Legacy Outback Ltd for sale, in USA - Maryland.

Mileage: 1457xx miles
VIN: 4S3BG6853X6632411
Engine Size: 2.5L

Asking price is $3800

1999 Subaru Legacy Outback Limited with 145,7xx miles (VIN: 4S3BG6853X6632411). Mileage increased from when picture taken. It has a 5 speed manual transmission. It has been owned by Non-smokers its entire life (I am the 3rd owner, first two owners were family members). Its a 30th anniversary limited model which on top of the standard features of the '99 Outback it comes with heated leather seats (uh-mazing during the winter), power & heated mirrors, and a heated windshield.

Mechanical: The car is mechanically sound (has made several round trips to NY, PA, NJ, Western MD since my purchase of the car at 138k) and has been well cared for, aside from the exterior, for all its life. It has had several items replaced since I purchased it (the list is below). There are three issues currently pending that I hope to have resolved before the sale (unless the buyer would like to resolve them on their own): The throw-out bearing is making noise, there is an exhaust leak at the header, and the clutch pedal is soft. I suspected a leak in the new clutch MC and slave, but I have not been able to find it. I am going to bleed the entire system again and see the outcome.

Body: It has spent much of its life as a city car (Boston), hence the dings and scratches. It also does have rust on body (in two main spots only), and rust on the subframes. One on the lower portion of the driver side door, the other along the driver rear wheel well. The rear wheel well arch is not due to the normal Subaru rust issue. The car was lightly side swiped while on a city street prior to my ownership. 4 things were damaged - front bumper (scraped), mirror (replaced), front fender (pulled out), and the rear quarter panel area (scraped off paint). I was planning on going to a pick-and-pull to find a replacement door of the same color and most likely fixing up and POR15'in the rear quarter panel area.

Overall, I would rate the interior an 8.5 out of 10 and the exterior is a 6 out of 10. (I am a perfectionist...so keep that in mind)

Maintenance I have almost all the maintenance paperwork from the previous owner on this car, and most of the paperwork on the items replaced since my ownership.
- Headgaskets were done by previous owner at ~127k miles (have receipts).

Parts replaced within the past 6,000 miles:
Clutch, Flywheel, Front Left Brake Caliper, Front Right Brake Caliper, Rear Right Brake Caliper, Rear Left Brake Caliper, Front Brake Rotors, Rear Brake Rotors, Front Brake Pads, Rear Brake Pads, Clutch Master Cylinder, Clutch Slave Cylinder, Transmission Mount.

Tire tread is at 9/32nds (10/32nd is new), Oil changed every 3,000 miles, and I can have the car MD State inspected prior to a final sale if sold in MD. I am asking $3800 OBO. KBB on the car in this condition is right around $4,000. PM me if interested.
