Default 2004 Mazda Mazdaspeed Miata - $9500 OBO

Category: Import
Status: Lien

I have a 2004 Mazda Mazdaspeed Miata for sale, in USA - New Mexico.

Mileage: 53783 miles
VIN: JM1NB354040406816
Engine Size: 1.8L

Asking price is $13000 OBO

Seller Information:
Phone: (575) 318-6754
Email: flappymcpancakes@hotmail.com

Hey everyone I am ready to sell my 2004 MSM with 54k. I have put up a gallery of pictures on imgur.com and the link is right http://imgur.com/a/TjW47#11 there.

The car has the full Flying Miata intake, downpipe, and exhaust. It is pretty fast. The PO installed a boost gauge in a single A-pillar mount. It also has BF Goodrich Sport Comp 2's in the 205/40/17 size on the stock wheels. My most recent addition is the standard height MiataRoadster short shifter and Redline Goods alcantara shift boot. The improvement in shifting is remarkable. The shift boot is my favorite feature of the interior right now! Everything else is stock.

I have recently changed the oil, changed the transmission oil, new engine belts, new spark plugs, FM check valve kit, and new fuel filter.

I am only the second owner, I bought it from the original owner in Albuquerque, NM roughly a year ago. The car was a driver and is in great shape, but it is not a "creampuff." There are rock chips on the windshield and front bumper and one small crack in the windshield on the passenger side. The crack was there when I bought it and it has not gotten any worse. There is a deep scratch on the driver door, which was caused by a truck kicking up a huge piece of metal and sending it into the door. The car also has a recurring CEL. I can clear it, but it comes right back. The PO told me when I bought it that he had warranty work done on the issue multiple times and it was never solved. The CEL has never given me any driving problems in a whole year, so I just ignore it. The PO said it has something to do with the gas cap and system but I reiterate I've never had a problem with this car running badly because of it.

Let me know if you are interested or have any other questions. Text or voicemail, my work schedule is weird.

No actual shots of the car? Also don't mean to downplay but $14k is quite high for those miles. I paid $12k for mine with $30k on it and that was 3 years ago.

Theres a link to pictures in the description. 14k obo (or best offer). Selling my 2000 drove me crazy because i priced it low to sell and everyone on craigslist tried to trade for something stupid. Im detailing it extensively and ill be posting up better pics soon.

Less... maybe. If you can find one.

"Way less?"

No. Not consistently.

As always, there's always "That guy" that got a crazy deal on his car and becomes the new benchmark that all others judge by.

The price isn't a bad start for negotiating, and he'll manage to sell it for pretty close to that.

I'm interested in the shifter if you are willing to part it out.

What was the cause of the CEL's, and is car running stock boost?

... The evap canister was bad, the VTC solenoid was not working, and some vacuum lines were run wrong. The car has an FM intake, which I believe comes with a boost controller. However, watching the boost gauge at full throttle, it settles out right at 8 psi, which is indeed the stock boost level.

Damn. If this car had been available this summer at this price, I would have bought it.

Good luck with sale. Helluva deal. Seriously.

If you are a serious buyer and have cash, I am willing to travel a reasonable distance.

Then pretend the car costs $500 more. Use the $500 to buy a one way ticket to NM and the rest to buy gas for the drive home. SAVE MY MARRIAGE FROM RUIN FROM ME BUYING THIS CAR AGAINST ALL REASON.

Seems legit. Lubbock, TX and Midland, TX are both two hours away from me and they have major airports. I would be willing to meet someone there, no biggie. My work schedule is a bitch, but a short trip like that is doable.
