Default Well sorted FMII Turbo 1994 Mazda Miata with hardtop in Portland, Oregon

For sale: 94 turbo Miata ready for track days and roadtrips. Well sorted track car for HPDE or Time Attack that is fun and comfortable to drive long distances to get to the tracks.

$9,000 with everything listed.

This is my variation of an NA Miata powerlist nerd's dream come true - my dream and vision of a refined, period-looking, highly capable street driven track Miata with all the creature comforts. Still has A/C, power steering, ABS, power windows, power side mirrors, nice sound system, and full interior. While having track oriented performance improvements in full FMII turbo kit, Link ECU, exhaust, full FatCat Bilstein suspension, big brakes, improved cooling, roll bar, and more.

As an NA Miata freak since 1998 (owned several), my vision of an ideal NA Miata evolved to this point, amplifying all of the cars performance envelopes: suspension and handling, brakes, power, and key to me: reliability, understated stock-ish appearance, without trashing what was nearly perfect as-is from Hiroshima. I wouldn't hesitate to drive this cross country and track it at the drop of a hat - in fact I've done just that with it

There's a huge collection of documentation. So many ******* FM invoices it's insane. If you'll indulge me, I'm going to post a lot of photos from over the years -- the car looks pretty similar throughout and up to this day.

Thanks for your time! If you're seriously interested - no tire kickers or joy riders - Hit me up here, PM, email, and I'm debating about posting my phone for calls or text...

Key features:

1. 1994 Miata B package: A/C, ABS, power side mirrors, power windows, power antenna, Torsen LSD, black exterior, black cloth interior
2. Rust free and low miles: 102k. Previous owner had it as second car. I bought at 80k if memory serves, only put on 22k in nearly 10 years. It has been in rust free climates it's whole life: California in the 1990's, Phoenix Arizona in the 2000's, and Portland Oregon since 2011. So no exposure to road salt at all, and it has always been in a garage or carport covered from the elements.
3. BBS RK 16" wheels with wheel locks and key
4. Fat Cat Motorsports full custom suspension by Shaikh: New Bilsteins, revalved, FCM bumpstops, FCM top mounts, appropriate sprint rates front and rear. This is the single best suspension setup I've ever experienced in any Miata in 16 years. It is well sorted and next level ****.
5. FMII turbo kit, upgraded to new style intercooler and silicon IC pipes (dropped a bunch of weight and more efficent)
6. Link ECU with FM chip, keypad, USB-serial box, cable, etc.
7. RC 550(?) injectors
8. Vishnu dual feed fuel rail
9. FM 2.5" turbo exhaust, high flow cat
10. FM big brake kit: Wilwood calipers, floating rotor on cap, stainless brakelines
11. Harddog Hardcore Double Diagnol rollbar with padding and leather wrap
12. 2010 expired Willans 4 point harness installed, have the sub belts too but didn't want to cut the seats. Good for keeping you snug driving hard, but for track days they should be upgraded to current and add the sub belts.
13. rockford fosgate amp, better speakers, door tweeters, - no stereo headunit - just plug in smartphone. The headunit wiring and adapter are all back in there if you want to install one, no prob.
14. Momo Champion steering wheel with adapter
15. FM Aluminum radiator and upgraded fan
16. Coolant reroute
17. Mazdaspeed motor mounts
18. All 8 new OEM alignment eccentric bolts, expensive bolts and even more expensive labor but now you set an alignment and it keeps it
19. Foamectomy on the factory seats in pursuit of more helmeted headroom. may be a step too extreme in the foam trimming, not as comfortable as it used to be for long distance trips.
20. Loads of paperwork, receipts, printouts. If you're like me, when you buy a new-used car, going through reading and sorting the docs can be gear head nerdy fun.
21. Hella Cibie E-code headlamps
22. turn signal intakes
23. always use full synthetic lubricants, generally Mobil 1
24. All key maintenance kept up to date: timing belt, waterpump, etc. done less than 5k ago in 2010 by Mike at Mike's Place, crank pulley replaced with new OEM unit in 2009, high flow cat replaced at 100k, and regular fluid changes.

Future maintenance items worth noting:

* clutch, pressure plate, and flywheel have had a long life. I treat the drive train with mechanical empathy as Bill C. says - especially a car with lots of grip and power, I try to respect the poor clutch, and for years have done trackdays just fine with this decade old clutch - but if you do burnouts, drifting, etc. you'll want a new clutch.
* soft top has small pinholes here and there, and is just old and getting decrepit. Though it's definitely not the worst Miata softtop that I've experienced!
* passenger door lock behaving weird - need to insert key from outside, leave it in the unlock rotation, and pull handle. I think it's interference from the after market alarm system's servo motor that actuates the door lock mechanism, tho I haven't taken the door panel off to investigate.
* drivers door tweeter fell out, needs to be fastened back in place, or just ignore it like I do because the sound system is fine without it.

Other parts and stuff:

1. Aquamist 2d water injection system
2. Mazda factory shop manual
3. Neat shiftknob
4. Miata specific Car cover
5. Link keypad, USB/serial adapter, DLL software etc.
6. Track and Street wilwood pads
7. New rear rotors and rear OEM brake pads
8. New factory coolant hose replacements (all hoses)
9. New moldable heat shielding (was going to put between footwell and downpipe - right foot gets hot on long road trips - the final refinement this car needs)
10. OEM rear sway bar, FM rear sway bar
11. 2x OEM sway bar endlinks, 1x new 949Racing sway bar endlinks
12. Trackday tow hooks for front and rear (never installed)

Tried replying to your PM but it won't let me send. To answer your inquiry; this week has been and continues to be pretty busy, so the earliest I can show the car is this weekend - best time looks like Sat or Sun afternoon... Will send you a text in the next day or so and we can chat and coordinate. thanks!
