Default 305 HP Built 1.6 turbo 1990 (e85, gt2871r, artech, hardtop)-$13000-Texas

This is more of a feeler than anything, but I'm thinking about selling/parting out my Miata. The car is fast, runs very well, and feels very solid compared to a stock Miata, still makes me grin from ear to ear every time I drive it.

It's a 1990 chassis with clean title, 223k miles. Comes with a factory mariner blue hardtop with defrost and rennenmetal hardtop brackets.

The car was dyno tuned by Steve Kan at prt performance in Lewisville, TX, it made 305 whp and 278 wtq on 20 psi and e85. The car has a potential of making 400 whp if a custom intake manifold and bigger throttle body were to be installed (it's still on stock manifold and throttle body).

Parts list:
Fully built 1991.5 1.6 long nose crank motor:
Wiseco 8.5:1 forged pistons (+1mm overbore), Manley rods, acl race bearings, boundary engineering oil pump, gates blue racing timing belt, new water pump, cometic head gasket, arp main and head studs. All gaskets replaced with oem. Begi coolant reroute. Rebuilt head with supertech valve seals, supertech dual valve springs with titanium retainers, mazda competition solid lifters, +1mm supertech stainless intake and exhaust valves, hks 264 cams and toda cam gears. 949 racing supermiata crank damper and AWR motor mounts. Supermiata crossflow radiator, setrab 16 row oil cooler and mocal thermostatic sandwich plate with -10an lines and fittings. Running ls truck coils, also just replaced the alternator (upgraded to 100 amp) and battery within the last week.

Garrett gt2871r .64 exhaust housing (12-14 psi adjustable internal wastegate), with braided stainless coolant and oil lines. Tubular bottom mount turbo manifold, 3" downpipe, and 3" exhaust with v-bands built by Abe at artech fabrication, 2.5" ic piping and cx racing intercooler, tial q bov. Greddy profec b spec 2 electronic boost controller.

The car is tuned on e85; ecu is a megasquirt 3x built by Braineack. It's also got stack oil pressure, oil temp, water temp and boost gauges mounted in an aluminum bracket in the center console where the radio/ac controls would be. Innovate mtx-l wideband, id1000s, Aeromotive adjustable fpr and walbro 255.

6 speed trans from a 2004 mazdaspeed miata, with a miataroadster short shifter, and a joyfast medium shift **** (also have an oem nardi 6 speed wood shift ****).
949racing 6 puck clutch with act light weight flywheel arp flywheel bolts and stainless braided clutch line. It has a 3.63 torsen diff, and garagestar delrin diff mounts.

It's on bc coils (10k/8k springs) with around 20k miles on them. 15x9 -15 rota rkr's with 225/45 15 hankook rs3s in the front and the same size toyo r888's in the back. 1.8 brakes with stainless brake lines and hawk hp+ pads. Hard dog roll bar. Flyin' Miata frame rail braces and garagestar fender braces.

The interior is pretty clean, the dash is flocked and has one small crack that has been glued back together, and a brand new set of oem floor mats. There's no radio, a/c, heater or power steering. Carpet was removed and replaced with several layers of spray-on undercoating. Pair of recaro spg reps mounted with garagestar seat bracket on the driver's side and the oem slider on the passenger side, schroth profi hans (driver's side) and schroth clubman (passenger side) 6 pt harnesses and personal grinta 330mm suede steering wheel on a works bell hub, carbonmiata carbon fiber door cards. Custom gauge face set from revlimiter.net.

Carbonmiata fender flares, replica garage vary lip, feed style side skirts, autokonexion v2 trunk lid, uras replica hood vent. Cut rear bumper, flyin miata front and rear tow hooks.

Motor has 2000 miles on it, diff was purchased with I think around 3k miles on the rebuild/3.63 swap (I've put maybe 500 more miles on it), mazdaspeed 6 speed trans came out of a car with 88k, the brakes were replaced at the same time as the engine.

The car needs paint, overall body is very straight with very few small dents and dings, but the paint is terrible and pealing off a lot of places, most of the hood is spray painted. Pictures really don't do justice to how well built and solid this car feels and drives.

There's well over $25k worth of parts on this car, with receipts for all of it. Looking for $13k cash, but make me an offer and I'll think about it. I am in no rush to sell so price is kind of firm, if I can't get what I want from it I'll part it out. PM me if interested and I can take pics of specific things if you would like them.

Interested in gauges (Cluster included), oil+water lines, and manifold+downpipe should you decide to part out. Thank you.

Nothing really, that's just what it would take for me to sell it.

This is why I'm semi-reluctant to sell my car. I'm not sure if there is a buyer for what I think it'd be worth.

That's seriously the biggest obstacle in getting rid of a built miata. No one wants to pay more than $5k for a miata, and no matter how much money you've put into it you get laughed at for wanting anything more than like $8k.

There's a ton more money in parting it out, but i really don't want to deal with taking it all apart.

It is a tragedy undoing all those hours of work.
