FS: 1997 turbo Miata $7500 (Virginia/DC)
Up for sale is my 1997 Miata. It's been turbo'd since 2008, if I recall. It recently had a new drivetrain put in (JDM 2001 Miata w/ 45,000 km) w/ a 6-speed. Over last winter, I had the body patched up (someone struck a front fender while parked on my street) so I had the front freshened up w/ a new factory fender, rear rust was cut out and new metal replaced (just in front of the rear wheel wells). Also bought new 949 Racing wheels (15x9) with Toyo R888 (225/45/15) with only about 250 miles on them. A new Mishimoto radiator, brackets, and fans were installed.
So, that was about $6k worth of upgrades/fixing.
The car is still quite quick and nimble. It's running a full standalone Megasquirt v3 for ECU, so will not pass emissions (not hooked up to the OBD2 port) for areas that require emissions testing. I think it's about 225 whp with room for more if you upgrade the intake manifold and throttle body. Previously, it put down 275whp/244tq on a dyno. I think with the right parts, it'll make similar numbers and should run a lot smoother with the newer Megasquirt.

The good: body is in good shape now and the plastic interior is above average (dash, door cards, etc). It comes with a factory hardtop w/ defroster. Also, the car comes w/ factory 14" wheels (7 spoke) with winter tires (one season used). A/C blows cold and heater works.
The bad: it is missing a functioning sound system, soft top was removed along w/ the frame, and some of the interior is a bit dated: carpet getting worn on the driver's foot well, seats were reskinned, but didn't hold up in certain wear areas.
