Default Gadhafi vows 'long war' as strikes hit his forces

Why we ever got involved with this is completely out of this world...

NATO is ran by a US General, so you better believe we will have troops on the ground.

Discuss.

We're clearly not involved. Only warmongering hillbilly republican presidents drag our military into the internal affairs of sovereign middle-eastern nations with oil.

Oceania is friends with Eurasia.

Didn't Gadhafi's gov't ask for a cease-fire today? The AF and Navy punked them pretty good yesterday.

I was being extremely sarcastic, in a way that anybody who had read George Orwell's classic novel "1984" (which is, or ought to be, required reading material in any high school curriculum) would know.

Besides, it's not Gaddafi's fault. al-Qaeda is responsible for the oppression of the Libyan people.

I am very supportive of the Rebels in Libya. Unfortunately I think the no-fly zone is a week or two to late to really matter now. I also so not like the fact the the US Government is intervening. We are not at war with Libya so our planes and missiles have no reason to be anywhere near there. While it is sad that a civil war is going on, it is not our fight.

Nope. That said, if we stay in the air race only, it's just like training missions with live munitions. Let them have their fun.

What do they have anyways? Old, outdated hand-me-down MiGs and typhoons?
