cops hate when it takes you three years to finally get back the property they stole from you.

After 3 Years Gun Owning Senior Wins Lawsuit Against Crooked Cops Who Stole His Firearms | Give Me Liberty

It took three long years, but 75 year old Arthur Lovi finally had his day in court and the police department of Arlington Heights, Illinois were on the losing end of an $80,000 ruling.

The story began back in 2012 when Lovi was diagnosed with high blood pressure linked to stress. His doctor suggested he talk to a therapist to try a lower his blood pressure.

Lovi, who was a helicopter pilot for the Air Force during the ’60s talked to the therapist about his recent losses that he was dealing with.

...

Apparently, being a veteran who is grieving over the loss of loved ones is enough for some gun hating therapist to order in some jackbooted thugs to ransack and steal Lovi’s entire firearm collection.

The therapist would later admit that she didn’t think Lovi was a danger to anyone but was “just doing her job” when she reported him to the police.

Right.

What did this therapists reckless actions lead to?

From Freedom Outpost:

Following his return home that day, Lovi got a call from the Arlington Heights Police Department and they asked if he had weapons in his home. According to Lovi, who is retired and lives with his son, he told them that he did have three antique firearms, including a double barreled musket that was over 100 years old. Apparently Lovi decorates his home with old antiques, including old teakettles, ancient telephones and kerosene lamps. He claims he has never fired any of the weapons and doesn’t even know how to load the musket.
Mind you, Lovi has all the legal (if unconstitutional) licenses and permits for the weapons.

Even so, at 11pm 5 police officers raided his home and seized his antique firearm collection. The cops of this Chicago suburb would spin a story in which Lovi just willingly handed over his antique firearms without a WARRANT, PROBABLE CAUSE or anything that would satisfy the 4th Amendment.

It would take over 2 months and multiple attempts for Lovi to get his firearms back, one of which was damaged and needed an expensive repair.

...

Earlier this week the judgment in this lawsuit was given.

The jury found Arlington Heights police Sgt. Charles Buczynski guilty of illegal entry into a home and unreasonable seizure of property for leading the charge into Lovi’s home. The jury ordered him to pay Lovi $45,000, Kiss said.

The jury found Arlington Heights Cmdr. Richard Gausselin guilty of unreasonable seizure of person for coercing Lovi into the ambulance two days later, and ordered him to pay $25,000.

An additional $10,000 was awarded to Lovi to pay his medical bills and to fix damage done to his antique guns during their seizure, Kiss said.

and what of the cops who perform illegal searches and theft?

dont worry:

Three other officers named in the suit were not found guilty.
cops are never found guilty of crimes.

Georgia man?s life destroyed after he is jailed for 7 months ? and then acquitted in 45 minutes

A Georgia man lost custody of his two sons, his business, his apartment, most of his belongings, and seven months of his life when he was jailed for allegedly attacking a social worker.

John Blue was acquitted in January, after he was held without bond for more than a half a year in the Gwinnett County Jail, when a Division of Family and Children Services employee crashed into his van but accused him of attacking her, reported WSB-TV.

...

Blue – who lost his interior design business and home while awaiting trial and now lives in the same van the caseworker crashed into – is fighting to regain custody of his sons, who are living with relatives out of state.

“My kids have never wanted for anything,” Blue said. “This is not fair, not right — my family has been destroyed.”

cops hate it when you expose their level of standards.

Atlanta police academy trainer transferred after blowing whistle on cheating recruits

A trainer at the Atlanta Police Academy was transferred out on one-day notice after alerting state officials about cheating recruits, WSB-TV reported.

The Georgia division of the Southern States Police Benevolent Association reportedly complained to city officials that the instructor, William Lyons, was not given more notice before being moved out of the school.

...

Lyons reportedly contacted the state Peace Officer Standards and Training Council (POST) because he was unsatisfied with how local authorities responded to allegations that some recruits went to a former trainee for information on a “shoot/don’t shoot scenario” test covering the use of deadly force.

The former trainer also reportedly showed POST officials documents indicating that several trainees cheated or were “dishonest” in an assignment asking them to write their own bios.

Assistant Police Chief Shawn Jones said Lyons’ transfer was under investigation.

“Several people were transferred at the same time,” Jones said. “We transfer individuals frequently throughout the year.”

Deputy Police Chief Erika Shields told WAGA-TV that nearly two dozen cadets have been investigated this year for taking part in “some level of cheating.” However, she said, none of them had done anything that deserved expulsion from the academy.

“I have 100 percent confidence in the individuals that we have hired that they’re gonna make solid law enforcement,” she said.

State Sen. Vincent Fort (D) called for the allegations to be given as much scrutiny as the recent cheating scandal that embroiled the local school district.

“If an officer is cheating on a test, what is he gonna do on the street?” Fort said. “That’s a question I’d like to ask. It’s very disturbing. I hope there’s no cover up. I hope the chips fall where they may.”

cops hate to do real police work, so they have cheap motels do it for them.

Motel 6 giving police names of guests - News - providencejournal.com - Providence, RI

City police have arrested four people staying at the Motel 6 on Jefferson Boulevard as a result of the hotel chain's agreement to provide police with a daily guest list, Mayor Scott Avedisian said Tuesday.

The names of Motel 6 guests, which police then check for outstanding warrants, is one of five steps Motel 6 corporate managers agreed to take in response to a string of high-profile incidents and concerns the establishment was becoming a haven for passing criminals.

The other measures listed in an agreement Motel 6 executives signed Tuesday include raising the minimum age to rent a room from 18 years old to 21, hiring a police detail every night, sharing their national "do not rent list" with police and conducting regular training, including on how to spot human trafficking.

"We know everyone who is staying in the hotel tonight," Avedisian said in a phone interview after a meeting with Motel 6 executives that also included Warwick police chief Col. Stephen M. McCartney and Seekonk, Mass., Town Administrator Shawn E. Cadime.

As of now, guests who check-in at Warwick’s Motel 6 will not be told their names are on a list that goes to the police station every nigh

cops hate when they are demoted for exposing illegal activity

LAPD Officer Sues City Over Alleged Ticket Quota | NBC Southern California

A Los Angeles police officer is suing the city, alleging he was assigned to desk duty and demoted because he complained about having to meet a traffic citation-writing quota.

Earl Williams filed the lawsuit Friday in Los Angeles Superior Court, alleging he was retaliated against for being a whistleblower against a practice that the suit states violates a provision of the state Vehicle Code. He seeks unspecified damages as well as attorneys' fees and an injunction banning ticket
quotas within the LAPD.

According to Bartlett Police Department, an official from Shelby County Attorney General's Office called and reported that officer Lucas Hines had been indicted on the above charges.

Witnesses say Hines had his blue lights on as he approached the intersection of Bartlett Boulevard and Stage Road in October 2014, but he switched them off before speeding through the intersection.

Hines collided with another car
, killing both 63-year-old Danny Floyd and 49-year-old Michelle Sloyan. Both were ejected from Floyd's car when Hines' cruiser struck their car.

"You know their fear was, because he was wearing a badge, he'd get away with it," said attorney Jeff Rosenblum. He represents the family of Michelle Sloyan.

judges hate when cops withold evidence of their peer's attacks on an innocent person for no good reason.

City ordered to hand over video of alleged brutal beating by LAPD officer - MyNewsLA.com

A federal judge on Monday ordered the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office to turn over the raw video footage of a police officer allegedly using excessive force during an arrest last fall.

...

“Today a judge validated my client’s right to have a copy of the raw video footage of the brutal beating that included him being kicked and hit by members of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Newton Division,” Harper said in a prepared statement.

Harper said she would bring a computer forensic expert and witness to the City Attorney’s Office on Wednesday to authenticate the videotape.

A spokesman for the City Attorney’s Office could not immediately be reached for comment.

Garcia, 34, was charged last week with one count of felony assault for using what prosecutors described as unlawful force when arresting Alford after he had surrendered.

Garcia pleaded not guilty and is scheduled to return to court June 1, when a date is expected to be set for a hearing to determine if there is sufficient evidence to proceed to trial.

Alford’s arrest was captured by a security camera on a nearby building. Unlike other police-civilian encounters that have made headlines, the footage has not been made public.

However, several police officials who saw the recording described the scenario in interviews with the Los Angeles Times. One called it “horrific”; another said the officer kicked Alford like a “football player kicking a field goal.”

...

Officers contend they arrested Alford because he matched the description of a robbery suspect.

After running from police, Alford surrendered but Garcia allegedly assaulted him while the suspect was on the ground.

Harper alleges that Alford was on the ground being restrained by other officers when an officer kicked and stomped on him, then repeatedly struck him in the head and body.

cops love to arrest you because someone says you may have flicked someone else off, then lie on a police report to cover up their crimes.

the ordinance she was going to quote was:

10.24.010 - Use of abusive language or fighting words.
It is unlawful for any person to use profane, obscene or indecent language in any public place where other persons might reasonably hear such language, and such language constitutes fighting words.
not sure how anyone was going to hear someone being flicked off. no matter what, saying "**** you" is not fighting words--the supreme court has ruled that many times.

but then again, the supreme court has also ruled that these shitty cops dont have to actually know the laws they are enforcing.

moral of the story: don't answer the door for police (or anyone you dont know) and you wont end up arrested on a BS charge.

cops hate when you give away their checkpoint locations (something they are supossed to do anyway) and are forced to cancel the event

New Hampshire Activists Cancel Police Checkpoint | TruthVoice

Manchester, NH police planned one such sobriety checkpoint, the first of the season, for Friday, April 24. That evening, dozens of activists planned well in advance to converge in downtown Manchester to divert traffic away from the checkpoint, using signs to warn motorists and going to all the local bars to warn patrons about the exact location of the checkpoint. Additionally, activists notified the press of their planned operation.

The morning of the event, facing mounting pressure from the planned protest, Manchester PD canceled the checkpoint, citing concerns over inclement weather. It’s important to note that the weather forecast predicted no rain, minimal wind, and temperatures in the mid-40s.

When normal springtime evening weather is cited as justification for canceling a major police operation, precisely when a huge protest to said operation is planned, one has to conclude that something else is afoot.

cops behave exactly like the criminals they are sworn to protect us against.

Off-duty Detroit police officer charged in drive-by shooting in Ray Township - WXYZ.com

A Detroit police officer has been suspended after reports of a drive-by shooting outside of a home in Ray Township.

Macomb County sheriff's deputies responded to a home early this morning after reports of multiple shots fired at the home located at 29 Mile Road near Romeo Plank.

The Macomb County Sheriff’s Office says the Detroit police officer, 32-year-old Clifford Earl Gullion of Ray Township, was arraigned on four weapons charges Thursday afternoon.

According to authorities, the officer's wife worked as a caregiver in the home. The wife reportedly had some type of of dispute with a man who lives there.

The 32-year-old officer agreed to come to the sheriff's office for an interview. Authorities allege that the man fired several shots at the home in retaliation for comments made about his caregiver wife. The Detroit Police Department is cooperating with the situation.

cops love ending up in the place where they are supossed to put criminals.

NYPD cops caught on video punching, kicking Bronx teen get 30 days in jail

A judge laid the smackdown Monday on two Bronx cops who roughed up a teenage suspect outside a police station house.

Officer Joseph Murphy, 29, and now former officer Jose Ocasio, 31, had hoped to get off with a conditional discharge and maybe community service — but Justice Julio Rodriguez instead sentenced them to 30 days behind bars.

“Each engaged in criminal, inexplicable conduct that violated their oaths as officers and violated the public trust,” he said.

The pair were caught on video camera in 2011 punching and kicking Tyre Davis — then just 17 — in an alleyway after he’d been processed for a disorderly conduct charge at the 46th Precinct stationhouse.
