live blogger hates getting pulled over for no reason, then gets a ticket for something unrelated to the initial stop (which wasn't valid in the first place), by a cop who admits to breaking the law.

Congressmen hate murderous police.

Georgia Democrat rips Congress, forces lawmakers to hear the names of police shooting victims

Rep. Hank Johnson (D-GA) brought the issue of fatal shootings by police to the House floor on Monday, reading several victims’ names aloud while accusing his colleagues of avoiding the problem, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.

“Despite bipartisan, nationwide calls for action; and despite my bills to reform the broken grand jury process, hold police accountable, and end militarization; and despite my colleagues’ bills to encourage body cameras, this Congress does nothing,” Johnson said. “No hearings, no blue ribbon commissions, no nothing.”

10 California Police Officers Suspended For Beating

10 California police officers were placed on paid leave today after a video of them beating a defenseless man went viral. After chasing the mounted man through the desert on foot, they couldn’t help but get a few cheap shots in on the suspect to make sure he knew who was boss.

It started out with a simple search warrant, where police were looking into local area theft. As they were searching the house, the suspect hopped into his car and drove off. Realizing his chances of getting away in the car were slim, he ditched the car and stole a horse.

The problem was that, by that time, police already had a helicopter overhead to keep an eye on him. Police chased him on foot until they eventually were able to ambush him with a taser.

What happens next? See for yourself.

Killer cop has history of tasing people for no reason.

New Dash Cam Video Shows Michael Slager Tasering Man in Separate Incident | Mediaite

New video emerged today of an incident last year in which Officer Michael Slager, currently charged with murder in the death of Walter Scott, fired his Taser at someone during a contentious traffic stop. In the dash cam video, Slager and another officer are telling Julius Wilson to get out of his car. He resists, they pull him out of the car, and Slager fires his Taser at Wilson while he’s on the ground.

Wilson is filing a lawsuit against Slager and the North Charleston Police Department. He said, “n my lifetime, I have witnessed violent acts by police officers. Without proof of such acts, the word of police officers is always taken over the word of the victims forced to endure their violent acts.”

This is in addition to the incident alleged by Mario Givens, also suing Slager, claiming the officer Tasered him without provocation.

bike gang thug cop finally indicted.

http://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/...icle-1.1511056

A veteran undercover cop busted in a motorcycle mob attack has been indicted for gang assault and other serious felonies by a Manhattan grand jury, the Daily News has learned.

NYPD Detective Wojciech Braszczok, who faces up to 25 years behind bars if convicted on the top counts, is one of 11 bikers formally charged in a 14-count indictment over the Sept. 29 attack on Range Rover driver Alexian Lien that went viral when footage of the beatdown taken from a helmet-mounted camera was posted online.

Braszczok, 32, who was deep undercover during the height of the Occupy Wall Street movement, is free on a $150,000 bail bond.

The detective’s attorney, John Arlia, declined to comment on the development when reached by phone Friday.

The embattled cop will be presented with the indictment at a Nov. 20 arraignment in Manhattan Supreme Court. He also faces assault, coercion, riot and criminal mischief.

Five police supervisors plead the Fifth in the trial of Cleveland police officer Michael Brelo | cleveland.com

Five more police supervisors invoked their Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination Monday in the trial of Cleveland police officer Michael Brelo.

The five supervisors have been charged with dereliction of duty in connection with the same Nov. 29, 2012 police chase and fatal shootings that resulted in Brelo being charged with voluntary manslaughter.

Michael Donegan, Patricia Coleman, Randolph Dailey, Jason Edens and Paul Wilson have all pleaded not guilty to the charges, and a date for their trial has not been set yet.

Brelo, 31, is charged with two counts of voluntary manslaughter in the deaths of Timothy Russell and Malissa Williams. Russell drove the Chevy Malibu that led police on the chase. Williams was a passenger in the car.

The supervisors appeared in court on Monday, but none took the witness stand. Instead, they pleaded the Fifth as a group, with their lawyers present. There was no discussion of their right to plead the Fifth, as there was last week, when Officer Michael Demchak invoked his Fifth Amendment right.

The rest of the morning focused on a Bratenahl police officer and a Cleveland police officer, both of whom were involved in the chase but not the shooting.

Here are highlights from the morning's testimony.

1. A Bratenahl police officer suspected crossfire.

2. That same officer heard shooting after orders to cease fire

3. Both police officers feared for their lives

4. Police work is dangerous

5. What's next: bullet trajectories in the victims' bodies

St. Tammany reserve deputy arrested after drunkenly crashing sheriff's department boat, officials say | NOLA.com

A St. Tammany Sheriff's Office reserve deputy was stripped of his commission and arrested Saturday night (April 11) after authorities said he drunkenly stole a department patrol boat and crashed it into a piling outside a riverfront bar-restaurant in Madisonville.

Danny Eckhart was not acting in any official capacity when he boarded a patrol boat docked on the Tchefuncte River and drove it downriver to the popular T Rivers Bar and Grill, St. Tammany sheriff's spokesman Capt. George Bonnett said Sunday. As Eckhart piloted the boat, Bonnett said he caused damage of an unknown amount to the craft when he ran it into a piling near the bar's docking area just before midnight. No one was injured in the crash, Bonnett said.

Bonnett said Eckhart, whose age and work history with the agency was not immediately disclosed, was booked into the St. Tammany Parish Jail on a charge of unauthorized use of a movable. In addition, agents with the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries booked Eckhart with operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

NYPD broke an NBA player's leg, left untreated overnight, ends his season and playoffs (VIDEO)

The New York Police Department is mired in another controversy after officers arrested NBA player Thabo Sefolosha of the Atlanta Hawks, breaking his leg during the violent takedown. Sefolosha suffered a broken fibula which went untreated overnight and later tests confirmed ligament damage. The injury is expected to end his season as the Atlanta Hawks are in first place and headed to the playoffs in 2 weeks.

The incident occurred early Wednesday morning outside the Manhattan nightclub 1Oak as police responded to reports of a man stabbing a different NBA player Chris Copeland, his girlfriend and another woman in a shocking attack.

Copeland, a former New York Knick who now plays for the Indiana Pacers, was in town for a game but was not at the club with Sefolosha and the incidents were unrelated. Sefolosha was injured after NYPD officers claim they were trying to establish a crime scene and asked the players back up. Sefolosha was at the club with his Atlanta Hawks teammate Pero Antić.

NYPD claims the players were uncooperative and at that point, Sefolosha was targeted for arrest.

DA hates old men who wanna pay to kill.

DA Charges Deputy With Manslaughter - KTUL.com - Tulsa, Oklahoma - News, Weather & Sports

A Tulsa County reserve deputy who shot and killed a suspect after grabbing his gun instead of his Taser has been charged with manslaughter.

Robert Charles Bates, 73, was charged with second-degree manslaughter today.

He shot Eric Harris, 44, during an undercover operation on April 2.

“Mr. Bates is charged with Second-Degree Manslaughter involving culpable negligence. Oklahoma law defines culpable negligence as ‘the omission to do something which a reasonably careful person would do, or the lack of the usual ordinary care and caution in the performance of an act usually and ordinarily exercised by a person under similar circumstances and conditions,'” Kunzweiler said.

“The defendant is presumed to be innocent under the law but we will be prepared to present evidence at future court hearings.”

The Sheriff's office turned over their investigation to district attorney on Friday.

Bates was assisting with an arrest. He told investigators he intended to fire his Taser to help subdue Harris during a struggle with other deputies.

An investigator hired by the sheriff's office called the incident a mistake and said this type of confusion is common in law enforcement and is called “slips and capture.”

The sheriff's office highlighted previous cases where the slips and capture theory was used in the decision to not file charges.

Blue state Virginia loves Big Brother.

Virginia?s Democratic governor moves to expand police surveillance powers - World Socialist Web Site

In a recent attack on the population’s basic right to privacy, Virginia’s Democratic governor Terry McAuliffe sought last month to pass an amended version of the state Senate bill SB 965, titled “Government Data Collection and Dissemination Practices Act,” which stands to significantly weaken protections against unwarranted police surveillance.

McAuliffe’s amended version of the bill includes language which would extend the amount of time police can retain data collected by license plate readers, drones, body cameras and other methods of surveillance to up to 60 days, far more than the bill’s original seven day limit.

The governor also removed language from the law which would make it apply to “any surveillance technology” utilized by the state, instead restricting its parameters to only cover “active criminal investigations,” which allows for the possibility of surveillance information being obtained without a warrant. The governor’s new proposals are set to be discussed this week in the state’s General Assembly.

SB 965 seeks to introduce minor restrictions on the widespread police use of license plate readers to collect information on Virginia motorists, regardless of whether they were suspected of any wrong doing. In 2013, then-Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli had issued a legal opinion declaring the tactic to be illegal. Since then, the former-Attorney General’s legal pronouncement has largely been ignored by state law enforcement officials, with police agencies continuing to retain information about motorists for months, even years, after acquiring it.

Mexican police also LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE to kill dogs for no reason.

Caught on camera: Horrific moment police strangle stray dog to 'save on paperwork' - Mirror Online

This is the horrific moment police officers allegedly strangled a stray dog to "save the paperwork".

The officers killed the poor animal in front of laughing locals in San Nicolas de los Garza, in Mexico.

They'd spotted the dog while on patrol in the city and decided it to kill it because it didn't appear to have an owner.

As they discussed the best way to get rid of the animal, local man Jocelin Batista filmed the incident while standing next to a small group of men who stood by laughing.

He said: "They were saying they didn't want to have to fill in the paperwork explaining why they had used a bullet.

"First of all they got the dog to come near them by throwing it food, and then they looped a rope around its neck.

"They were then able to use the rope to strangle the dog, and you could see its head turning red.

"I was a bit surprised the police officers would kill a dog like that and if been anybody else I might have said something, but what can I do?

"These are police officers who must know what the law is."

The video shows officers luring the animal toward them but the actual moment the animal was strangled has been cut to avoid causing more distress.

It shows that once the animal was lifeless and apparently dead, it was thrown into the back of a police car and driven off to be dumped.

In Jocelin's commentary for the video he's heard saying: "Here we see what the police does when a dog attacks another dog.

"Here we can see they grab him with a rope.

"What an effective method they use!"

A short while later he adds: " Don’t kill him, he’s a living being!"

And at the end he says: "This is subhuman.

"This is what the police do.

"Is this a solution?

"They want to make this place better by mistreating animals?"

But Enrique Lh added: "Obviously that dog was a stray and since our police are very capable and modern they used the traditional humane 21st century method – a rope around the neck."

Snuff video inside.

Larimer County sheriff?s deputy fired for alleged hit-and-run | FOX31 Denver

A two-decade Larimer County sheriff’s deputy has been fired after allegedly crashing through a fence in Loveland and driving away last month, the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office said Monday.

The crash happened March 29 as Sgt. Isaac Nail was driving to work in his personal vehicle. Nail was issued a summons by police in the crash.

After an internal investigation into the crash, Sheriff Justin Smith decided to fire Nail, who had been on paid administrative leave, from his job as a jail guard on Friday.

The sheriff’s office made the announcement in a news release Monday morning. Nail had been a Larimer County deputy since November 1995.

“The internal investigation concluded that Sergeant Nail’s actions were in violation of Colorado Statute and (sheriff’s office) policies,” the release said.

Nail was cited on suspicion of careless driving, leaving the scene after striking property and failure to notify police of a crash.

Officer Who Raped Cuffed Teen Gets Shot AnonHQ

Officer Jackie Neal, formerly of the San Antonio Police Department, was arrested after raping a handcuffed teenager in the back of his patrol car. This was back in 2013. An update of this story seems necessary, as it turns out that Officer Neal was recently shot.

According to Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, Officer Neal was shot in the neck last night. He is in critical condition.

According to local KSAT, the shooter is a female who is aged 46. She lived with him in the same home, and although there was no statement on the exact motive for the shooting, she was taken into custody without incident; this would suggest that she had a problem with Neal specifically, and was not a crazed lunatic who lashed out violently at anyone and everyone around her.

Arizona cop in car SMASHES into armed suspect in dashcam video | Daily Mail Online

Shocking police dashcam footage has emerged showing an Arizona cop speeding down a road, mounting a sidewalk and smashing into an alleged armed robber in a supposed bid to capture him.
In the two videos, Mario Valencia is captured walking along a street in Marana, northwest of Tucson, carrying what appears to be a rifle. He points the loaded weapon into the air and a shot rings out.
A police officer in one of the patrol cars says: 'One round just went out. He's definitely loaded.' He then tells his colleague, Officer Michael Rapiejko, in the other vehicle: 'Stand off, the gun is loaded.'

But apparently ignoring his advice, Rapiejko overtakes the officer's car, before speeding straight toward Valencia. Seconds later, his vehicle mounts the curb and smashes into the suspect's body.
