A Texas police officer was arrested this week after he allegedly fired his gun into a wall in anger because a server rejected his sexual advances.
According to a press release from the El Paso Police Department, Temple Police Officer Kenneth Lee Sheka, 28, was attending a law enforcement convention on Tuesday and engaged in a conversation with a server in the hospitality area of Chase Suites Hotel.
“Their conversation became inappropriate when SHEKA began making comments of a sexual nature and ultimately touched the female inappropriately as she walked past him,” the statement said. “The female told him not to do that again and continued to walk away, escorted by another male, when SHEKA pulled out a pistol and fired one round into a nearby wall.”
El Paso Police Sgt. Enrique Carrillo told the Temple Daily Telegram that Sheka was quickly subdued after making “crude remarks,” and firing his weapon.
“It was full of officers,” Carrillo recalled. “Our officers were at the event and responded immediately.”
Sheka was arrested by El Paso Police on one count of Deadly Conduct/Discharge of Firearm.
Temple Police Department spokesperson Christopher M. Wilcox pointed out that the officer could also face disciplinary actions.
“We expect our officers to adhere to our code of conduct,” Wilcox explained. “We expect our officers to be professional and courteous, on or off duty, whether they’re in uniform or not.”

Prosecutors say Tucker told the woman during the consensual encounter that he wanted to engage in a different sex act. When she refused, Tucker allegedly put a gun to her head and forced her to engage in the act.
Tucker remains suspended without pay.

HARLEM — A Long Island woman’s insistence that she owns a BMW landed her in a psych ward at Harlem Hospital.
The doctors believed she was delusional and suffering from bipolar disorder — but she was actually telling the truth, a lawsuit claims.
Kam Brock’s frightening eight-day “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” ordeal at the mental facility included forced injections of powerful sedatives and demands she down doses of lithium, according to medical records obtained by PIX11 from her attorney.
Brock said it all started at a traffic light in Harlem after she was pulled over by an officer for allegedly driving without her hands on the steering wheel.
Brock said: "I was confused and did not know what was going on, why I was being taken into custody," Brock said. “The officer said, 'why are you driving without your hands on the wheel?' I said I was dancing, I am at a light, he asked me to get out of the car.”
The officer took Brock to the 30th Precinct but after a few hours she was released without any charges. However, she was told to come back the next day to get her car.
The lawsuit states police reacted in disbelief that Brock owned a BMW when she arrived at a substation to pick it up.
Brock said: "I told them I have a BMW they asked me what kind of car it was and from that moment they started looking at me differently like I could not have a BMW."
After a long wait, the bank executive claims she was placed in handcuffs and taken by EMS to Harlem Hospital. Then she was committed to a psych ward.
Brock's attorney Michael Lamonsoff said: "She has no history of mental illness to brand her as mentally ill because she is telling the truth about who she is.”
Brock claims she was given medications like lithium and other powerful sedatives. In the end she was released but stuck with a hospital bill for more than $13,000.
The lawsuit filed by Brock names the city, the hospital and unnamed police officers is active in court.
The NYPD confirmed Brock was taken into custody but said it could not comment further due to pending litigation. The City's Law Department also could not comment for the same reasons.

There are questions about the use of force after a Henryetta armed robbery arrest this summer.
Body cam footage shows the heated moments after a chase following the robbery of a Dollar General store. The suspect, Gary Hubbs, is accused of wielding a knife during the robbery. He then led police on a foot chase that veered across a highway.
Body cam video was sent to 2 Works for You by a concerned individual who did not want to be named.

"This is the first time we see something a little concerning in the video. Where you hear one officer whispering very low to another officer 'turn it off,'" Garrett said.
Until that point, he said, the arrest seems standard.
Then, an officer not involved in the foot chase approaches the restrained suspect.
"What's concerning to me is when you see someone who is not even involved in the chase scene applying quite a bit of force to the suspect's head and neck once the suspect is fully in custody," Garrett said. "The officer with the body cam turns away from the scene so that it cannot be captured on video."
Henryetta Police Chief Steve Norman said he was on the scene of that arrest and saw nothing inappropriate.
"I believe in this situation he was justified in holding him down," he said.
Garrett disagreed.
"From the video evidence, it appears there was an improper application of force," he said.
Norman added, "That day the heat index was probably 110. These guys doing the chasing were worn down and the other officer was giving them a break."

I've supposed there is probably fake ID to be got online but not had the gumption to do much of a search for some. I'd think that phony scans should be easier to come up with than a whole ID.

An Indianapolis couple who issued a lawsuit last year, claiming that an Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department unjustifiably fired a gun at them, has reached a settlement with the city and the officer involved for $370,000.
The incident took place on New Year's Day in 2014, when Luke Woodworth, then 19, and Samantha Willis, then 17, got lost on their way to a party and parked near Officer Michael Krebs's house. The suit, according to The Indianapolis Star, states that the two arrived at Krebs's house and knocked on his door after parking on the driveway, but went back to their car upon realizing they were at the wrong house.
According to court documents, Krebs approached the couple as they were parked in his driveway looking up directions, pointed a gun at Woodworth, and shouted at him to "give me your ID," but did not identify himself as a police officer.
“Thinking that he was about to be robbed or shot,” the Indy Star reports the complaint as saying, “Mr. Woodworth immediately put the car into reverse and quickly backed out of the driveway,” but not before Krebs allegedly fired his gun at the car seven times.
The two were not injured, but the suit claims that the shots damaged their car, with two shots entering the car's interior.
Krebs, on the other hand, told the Indy Star that he had identified himself to the couple, and that none of the shots hit the vehicle. Instead, he claims that Woodworth hit him with the car when reversing, causing him to fire his weapon in defense.
Woodworth and Wills went to police about the incident, and Woodworth was subsequently arrested for criminal recklessness, but his case was later dismissed.
Krebs, for his part, no longer works as a police officer.
