Hillary campaigns at early voting location - in violation of NC law? - The American MirrorThe American Mirror

Hillary Clinton campaigned at an early voting location on Sunday in Raleigh, North Carolina, in a potential violation of electioneering laws.

...

Campaign staffer Michael Gwin also posted a photo from her appearance, claiming “she decided to check it out for herself.”

...

But she wasn’t just there to “check it out.” She blatantly campaigned.

N.C.G.S. §163-166.4(a) states, “No person or group of persons shall hinder access, harass others, distribute campaign literature, place political advertising, solicit votes, or otherwise engage in election-related activity in the voting place or in a buffer zone…”

The buffer zone will be 50 feet from the entrance to the polling place except where deemed by the Wake County Board of Elections to be necessarily closer, but no less than 25 feet from the entrance to the polling place. There will be publication of information regarding the entrance location and distance of the buffer zone no later than 30 days before the election.
It’s not clear whether Clinton was ever closer than 50 feet from the entrance to the location, but it is clear her intent was to influence voters outside the location.

purposefully blocking people from voting:

In March, Bill Clinton ended up in hot water after he appeared outside a polling location during the primary to rally voters for Hillary.

A Massachusetts voter was fuming after she said her polling location was shut down to accommodate a visit by the former president.

Angela Grace posted cell phone video showing orange barrels and yellow police line tape at what she said was a New Bedford voting location.

https://youtu.be/Xwa2vSqKPHY

“I haven’t seen one person be able to come in and be able to vote in here. Everything is blocked off. No person can park here.

“They are affecting the voting at this poll. It’s ridiculous. It’s fraud and illegal,” she declared while panning the camera across the scene showing the media and police milling about while dozens of observers are cordoned off.

“From one side of the street to the other, there’s no way anybody can get down here to vote.”

She laid the blame at the feet of the New Bedford mayor, Jon F. Mitchell.

“Mayor of New Bedford, MA campaigning for Hillary and blocking this voting poll!!! No one has come here to vote in the 2 hours I’ve been here by the door!!” she wrote in the video description.

^ This was one nice thing about being in Manhattan. My local polling place was the front lobby of the building in which I lived.

Actually, in Carlsbad it was the church across the street from my apartment. And in Hoboken, it was the town hall which I rode past every day from the train station.

Living in places where you "need" a car to get anywhere sucks.

liberal colleges love violating law in order to censor speech.

How UMD's Security Fee Censorship of a MILO Event Violates a Supreme Court Ruling on Free Speech - Breitbart

Just this week, a MILO event scheduled for the University of Maryland was canceled after student organizers failed to raise the $6,500 fee that university administrators required them to raise to cover security costs. This incident has become just another in a series of deceptive plays by administrators to restrict and censor the expression of ideas that conflict with modern academia’s progressive orthodoxy.

Although it seems that university administrators will get away with the censorship of conservative and libertarian ideas under the guise of prioritizing the physical safety of their students, it is likely that the last minute security fee increase and venue change could be a violation of an important 1992 Supreme Court decision.

In Forsyth County v. Nationalist Movement (1992), the Supreme Court decided that government officials were not permitted to vary security fees for political events based upon an official’s subjective determination of “the amount of hostility likely to be created by the speech based on its content.”

As a public university, the University of Maryland is bound by the ruling in the 1992 Supreme Court case, which determined that increasing security fees based upon the anticipated hostility of an audience rather than the content of the speaker’s message is a tax on speech and therefore a violation of the First Amendment right to free speech.

“Speech cannot be financially burdened, any more than it can be punished or banned, simply because it might offend a hostile mob,” the Forsyth Court wrote, noting that “[t]hose wishing to express views unpopular with bottle throwers, for example, may have to pay more for their permit.”

It is important to note the distinction between a demand for increased security based upon the content of speech and a demand for increased security based upon the anticipated volatility of an audience’s reaction to said content. With regards to the incident at the University of Maryland, security fees were increased not as a result of the content of Milo’s speech, but out of concerns that their students wouldn’t be able to behave when faced with ideas that conflict with their own.

As the Court wrote in the Forsyth case, “Listeners’ reaction to speech is not a content-neutral basis for regulation.”

back to healthcare:

News from The Associated Press

Premiums will go up sharply next year under President Barack Obama's health care law, and many consumers will be down to just one insurer, the administration confirmed Monday. That's sure to stoke another "Obamacare" controversy days before a presidential election.

Before taxpayer-provided subsidies, premiums for a midlevel benchmark plan will increase an average of 25 percent across the 39 states served by the federally run online market, according to a report from the Department of Health and Human Services. Some states will see much bigger jumps, others less.

Moreover, about 1 in 5 consumers will have plans only from a single insurer to pick from, after major national carriers such as UnitedHealth Group, Humana and Aetna scaled back their roles.

...
http://www.mcclatchydc.com/news/poli...110203782.html

Insurers are raising the 2017 premiums for a popular and significant group of health plans sold through HealthCare.gov by an average of 25 percent, more than triple the increase for this year, according to new government figures.

The spike in average rates for the 38 states that rely on the federal marketplace created under the Affordable Care Act was announced by federal health officials on Monday. The figures serve broadly to confirm what has become evident piecemeal in recent months: Prompted by a burden of unexpectedly sick ACA customers, some insurers are dropping out while many remaining companies are struggling to cover their costs.

In disclosing the 2017 rates, officials played down the impact of higher prices on consumers. They said that more than eight in 10 consumers will qualify for ACA subsidies that will cushion them from sticker shock. And they noted that as premiums go up, more Americans will be eligible for the tax credits.

Bush for pres:

Wikileaks: Soros Memo Accused Obama of Fueling Radical Islam to Push TPP - Breitbart

Podesta received an email in March 2016 from Soros spokesperson Michael Vachon. “I have attached a memo on TPP and Malaysia, as it may come up when you see George and Alex [Soros, George’s son],” he writes. “In general I think George is more interested in talking about policy than the campaign per se, though I can’t imagine you won’t spend some time on politics.”

Podesta later forwards the attached memo in question to another Clinton campaign official. Subsequent emails seem to indicate Podesta met George and Alex Soros for dinner on March 15 of this year.

The attached memo, titled “The TPP and Malaysia’s Corruption Crisis,” argues that President Obama has wrongfully chosen to support the government of Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak, accused of a variety of outrageous abuses of power and responsible for the dynamic growth of radical Islam in the southeast Asian nation.

The memo appears to have been authored by John Pang, a board member at Soros’ Open Society Foundation. Pang writes that Najib is “a poster boy for the 21st century kleptocracy” who has used “a racial supremacist ideology that is collapsing under the weight of corruption” to perpetuate himself in power. Najib, he argues, has created “a Malay-Islamic state in which Sunni Islam’s supremacy is indivisible from the political and legal supremacy of the Malay race.” The result is a country in which “1 in 10 Muslims there had favorable views of ISIS and that a 53% majority were in favor of implementing Hudud, the Islamic penal code.”

Pang writes that, specifically, Malaysia under Najib has enacted laws prohibiting non-Muslims from using the word “Allah,” banned Bibles in the Malay language, and seen thousands of its citizens leave Malaysia to join the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria. At home, Najib has “raised street demonstrations threatening violence against the nation’s Chinese and Christian minorities and fanned anti-Semitism,” Pang writes.

The more prominent allegations of corruption against Najib, the memo argues, the more he has embraced radical Islam.

Malaysia is a key player in the passage of TPP, however, which is nominally a measure to attempt to court China’s major trading partners to do more business with the United States.

“The Obama administration has made heavy and often personal bets on the leadership of Prime Minister Najib Razak as a partner in the region in the ‘pivot to Asia’ and the struggle against Islamic radicalism,” the memo argues. “These priorities have been undercut by being subsumed under the administration’s aggressive pursuit of the TPP.”

Since Najib assumed power, Malaysia has been home to some of the most outrageous violations of human rights in the name of Islam in the world. Among them are the arrest of a rapper for using the word “Allah” in a rap song, the arrest of a teenage girl for hugging a pop singer in public, protests against another teenage girl for hugging a dog (dogs are considered “unclean” in Islam), the banning of the phrase “hot dog” as it confused Muslims into thinking they were eating dog meat, widespread protests against Cadbury chocolate eggs, and the arrests of couples celebrating St. Valentine’s Day.

Malaysia has been refused FIFA soccer hosting duties over refusing to let Israeli nationals into the country, and its government has admitted to monitoring liberal Muslim “deviants” as a national security threat.

The first successful Islamic State attack in Malaysia occurred in July 2016, and targeted a Cuban nightclub.

cant trust Trump with the nuclear launch codes:

Breitbart Radio Exclusive?Rep. Blackburn: Hillary Clinton?s Russian ?Pay-to-Play? Uranium Scheme Top Example of Her Corruption - Breitbart

A senior Tennessee Republican congresswoman told Breibart News Saturdaythe dealings between the State Department led by Hillary R. Clinton, Russia, and the Clinton Foundation are a prime example of how the Clintons established a unique business model that brokered government decisions and made them fabulously wealthy.

“They’re the ones who have been dealing with the Russians,” said Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R.-Tenn.) to Breitbart Radio host Matthew Boyle in a live interview on the SiriusXM Patriot Channel 125 program.

...

An example of how the linkage came to be is seen in an Dec. 21, 2015 email from former Democratic Capitol Hill aide and columnist Brent Budowsky to John Podesta, the chairman of Clinton’s presidential campaign:

Odds that Putin agrees to remove Assad are only slightly better than the odds the College of Cardinals chooses me to someday succeed Pope Francis.
Best approach is to slaughter Donald for his bromance with Putin, but not go too far betting on Putin re Syria.
Brent
Sent from my iPad
The claims by Clinton that Trump was a puppet of the Russians were more than a media spin–it was also a kind of confession, she said.

American Values:

Fox News Just Landed A Brutal, Clean Hit On Hillary Clinton's Campaign | Huffington Post

In the beforetime, in the long, long ago of 2015, a woman named Hillary Clintonwas about to launch her campaign for president. She was also trying really hard to secure $12 million for her family’s charitable foundation from King Mohammed VI of Morocco. And her campaign was freaking out about it.

Campaign manager Robby Mook and longtime Clinton confidant John Podesta thought the deal ― in which Clinton had committed to speak at an event for the king on the condition of his $12 million donation ― would look bad. Clinton aide Huma Abedin tried to explain that it was simply too late to back out.

“This was HRC’s idea,” Abedin wrote in an email toPodesta. “Our office approached the Moroccans and they 100 percent believe they are doing this at her request. The King has personally committed approx $12 million both for the endowment and to support the meeting. It will break a lot of china to back out now when we had so many opportunities to do it in the past few months.”

The team eventually reached a compromise. Hillary Clinton didn’t show up, but Bill Clinton and Chelsea Clinton did, and the money came through.
“We didn’t want her going overseas,” Mook said. “I didn’t want her going overseas before the campaign was kicking off. Again, these are stolen documents.”
Oh the docs are stolen, so it's okay.

In another case previously reported by HuffPost, staffers had to repeatedly appeal to Hillary Clinton to cancel a paid speech by her husband to Morgan Stanley that had been scheduled to take place just three days after her campaign’s official launch. She initially resisted the entreaties from her aides before finally submitting to political sanity.

It may be the case that the King of Morocco wanted to host the Clintons and pay their foundation millions of dollars because he recognized a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to alleviate global poverty.

That, or maybe it had something to do with politics.

I dunno how email works.

Clinton aide talked of needing to 'clean' up Obama's comments on email server - POLITICO

A top Hillary Clinton aide expressed alarm in early 2015 that President Barack Obama claimed he was unaware of Clinton's private email server until he learned about it in the news.

"We need to clean this up - he has emails from her - they do not say state.gov," said Clinton adviser Cheryl Mills in a hacked email posted Tuesday on WikiLeaks.

Thanks, Roberts for Obamacare:

News from The Associated Press

Roberts and his wife, Jane Roberts, of Chevy Chase, Maryland, purchased a second Hupper Island home in the town of St. George this month. The 1,560-square-foot, waterfront home is larger than the original home on abutting property that they bought in 2006.

Both properties were purchased from Steve Thomas, a former host of the TV show "This Old House."

The chief justice and his family vacation at the home in the summer.

County records indicate the couple financed $1 million of the purchase price, which was not disclosed.

Clinton aides love Clinton:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/polit...aa5_story.html

“Speaking of transparency, our friends Kendall, Cheryl and Phillipe sure weren’t forthcoming on the facts here,” John Podesta complained in the March 2015 note, referring to Clinton’s personal lawyer, David Kendall, as well as former State Department staffers Cheryl Mills and Philippe Reines.

“Why didn’t they get this stuff out like 18 months ago? So crazy,” replied Neera Tanden, a longtime Podesta friend who also has worked for Clinton. Then, answering her own question, Tanden wrote again: “I guess I know the answer. They wanted to get away with it.”

...

“We’ve taken on a lot of water that won’t be easy to pump out of the boat,” Podesta wrote to Tanden in September 2015, at a time when Clinton’s campaign feared that Vice President Biden was about to enter the race for the Democratic presidential nomination. “Most of that has to do with terrible decisions made pre-campaign, but a lot has to do with her instincts.”

Tanden responded, “Almost no one knows better [than] me that her instincts can be terrible.”

Newt hates women:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/...-for-the-ages/

Gingrich, on Fox in his role as a Donald Trump surrogate, had questioned the stories of women who’ve come forward to accuse Trump of sexual assault — and the relative importance of the controversy itself, relative to Hillary Clinton’s alleged misdeeds.

Kelly pushed back. “As a media story, we don’t get to say that 10 women are lying. We have to cover that story, sir,” said the Fox anchor.

“Sure. Okay,” Gingrich said. “So, so it’s worth 23 minutes of the three networks to cover that story, and Hillary Clinton had a secret speech in Brazil to a bank that pays her 225,000 [dollars], saying her dream is an open border where 600 million people could come to America — that’s not worth covering …”

“That is worth covering,” interjected Kelly. “And we did.”

Gingrich was still speaking: “ … I mean, you want to go back through the tapes of your show recently, you are fascinated with sex, and you don’t care about public policy.”

...

“Me? Really?” she said, laughing.

“Well, that’s what I get out of watching you tonight,” Gingrich said.

Cue crosstalk.

KELLY: “You know what, Mr. Speaker, I’m not fascinated by sex. But I am fascinated by the protection of women …”
