I think that I have detected a fundamental flaw in the facts presupposed by your question.

The burden of being in a first world - too many youths living good enough to pity themselves.

This is why school should be a year round affair. Teenage boredom can be a brutal force.

There are some viddies out there of shops and the law abiding getting the rioters to leave. I saw one where 10-15 looters are chased off by 30-40 non-looters. The looters were running away dropping things and being chased. Each group had certain noticeable exterior characteristics shall we say.

Dammit! Somebody's gonna pay. Even if it's me.

I can't find the original quote, but somebody(probably William F Buckley) said that minorities riot by burning down the neighborhood, while whites riot by moving to the suburbs and voting for tax cuts.

Hey please send me a can of that riot smoke. I need to stick it ahead of the radiator and drive the car normal, controversial raised rear hood edge, and so forth. Would make a cool video.

Police are only scared because they would be assaulting a minor, doesn't matter what the melanin levels.

These kids are too lazy to be taught.

Chasing off is nice, catching and beating the crap out of is nicer.

Too slow on the draw.

Heard a radio clip where two girls said they really enjoyed the looting. "It shows the police we can do anything we like"
Can I have your names addresses and phone numbers please, then we'll see "what you can get away with" slags.

They weren't so scared in Ulster.

.22LR to the calf (or hamstring) of anyone entering/exiting a store that has been sacked. Would not cause any/much permanent damage but would end a riot very quickly, IMHO.

I guess 16,000 police aren't enough, lol

0242: Gloucestershire Police say they are dealing with what they called a "gathering" in the Brunswick area of Gloucester.

There has been some disorder around the city, with roaming youths setting fires in bins.

And a major fire has taken hold at the old Brunswick Road campus of Gloscat (Gloucestershire College of Art and Technology), a large 60s building that has been derelict since the college moved in 2007. It's next to Gloucester library which reports suggest is also on fire.
0213: @CheShA in Manchester tweets: Group of 5 lads, no hoods or even jumpers, walking down Oldham St with full holdalls; kicked a window on the way past.
0211: Merseyside Police say four fire engines were attacked while attending incidents on Lawrence Road, in the south Liverpool area.
0210: The fire near Tottenham High Road thought to have been caused by a number of lorries exploding at a recycling centre - not a diesel depot as we reported earlier - is now out and firefighters have left the scene.
0203: Thieves attempted to steal a cash machine from outside a supermarket in Bootle, North of Liverpool, according to Merseyside Police.
0200: @SimonR2011 in Gloucester tweets: Police helicopter circling Gloucester. Woolworths & former Gloscat building on fire. Mass looting. #Gloucester #Gloucesterriots
0158: This image of a burnt BBC radio car that was destroyed in Manchester was sent in by reporter Nick Garnett.

With all of the economic events and now flash mobs / riots…I am wondering if things might head towards more of a Police State environment with fewer rights for more people. Which some may desire.
