SNL Skit buried right after it was broadcast
Too much accuracy? This clip is not new but new to me.
THE FORBIDDEN SNL BAILOUT SKIT
SNL did a "Bailout" skit, which has apparently cut dangerously close to the truth because it has created quite
a stir within NBC. They pulled it off the air and have gone after the sources that posted it because it practically
disappeared off the Internet overnight; but at least one copy has 'escaped' into aetherspace. Here it is (you
may want to hang on to it, because if NBC -- that bastion of truth and open, unbiased inquiry -- wants to censor
it, it will probably be a collectors item someday, if it's not already):

The 1998 Robert Smigel animated short film "Conspiracy Theory Rock", part of a March 1998 "TV Funhouse" segment, has been removed from all subsequent airings of the SNL episode where it originally appeared. Michaels claimed the edit was done because it "wasn't funny". The film is a scathing critique of corporate media ownership, including NBC's ownership by General Electric/Westinghouse.

This is never good.
In reality though, the sooner you accept the fact that the media is not there to provide you with information the better. This scares me however because it's censorship of entertainment, and satire has always been an important form of political criticism. Either way, until there is an artist-supported station for entertainment, or a reporter-supported/owned station for news, we will always be viewing a skewed perspective, designed either solely for profit, or to convey propaganda.
On that note, did anyone else notice the recent surge in Government ads, like during football games? Lots and lots of -our- money going towards putting out the message the government wants us to hear.

Translation:
The gov't breaks your leg, hands you a crutch, and says "Look, we helped you".

Statist thinking has permeated the mass media because the journos are products of the universities. Big Money has influenced the university system because they funded it. Big Biz and Gov't have been in bed together since about 1910:
