It's essentially a matter of scale, much like the famous observation "Kill one man, and you're a murderer. Kill a million, and you're a king."

Violence is legitimized by authority, or the perception of authority. In much the same vein, it would be illegal for me to construct drone weapons and use them to blow up buildings containing individuals who I deemed to be threats to national security. The President, by contrast, is rewarded with Nobel prizes for doing this exact same thing. Because we collectively agree that the President has authority, he is free to arbitrarily order assassinations.

You know, this is a rather small issue in the context of the case, but I have to say I'm tired of people describing the physical altercation as a "fistfight."

I would encourage anyone who feels tempted to describe it as a fistfight to have someone several inches taller and quite a bit stronger than they are to mount them MMA-style and drop a few punches from up top before grabbing their head and smacking it into a hard cement surface, and see if they would still describe that experience as a "fistfight."

Typical trash piece of **** person putting themselves into the situation by acting like a ******* moron. If it weren't for the stupid **** with his "I'll do what the **** I want" attitude, he wouldn't have been beatdown. But no, he had to create a scene, leave his truck to an already tense scene, then exchange words with Trayvon...then have a gun with no restraint. No one to blame but the ******* himself.

Thanks for posting that, it's really hard to keep up with whose movies/shows not to watch, this adds a bunch to the list.

Sorry, but that doesn't cut it. No person alive has ever been a slave in the US. No one alive has ever been a slave owner. Drop it already.

You want equity, you have to give it. Cracker=------, plain and simple. You can't be racist and expect everyone else to be colorblind.
