Default Electronic expertise needed - led instead of bulb in gauge cluster is permanently lit

Hi folks,

I am in need of an electrical expert here. For my DIYgaugecluster with the Maxigauge https://www.miataturbo.net/diy-turbo-discussion-14/diy-gauge-cluster-maxigauge-64110/ I had to relocate some indicator lights. For the handbrake warning light I soldered a LED to the ign and original handbrake indicator spots ( same as original) Nowthe LED lights up all the time - it gets a little darker when I open the handbrake, but it doesn't go out.

Edit: Of course it's only lit after I switch the ign on...

What could cause this?
