Default ring and pinion

it might be a stupid question
dont kill me......
i want to change my final drive ( i belive i have 4.30 now...torsen on 2000LS)
does the ring and pinion on regular diff and torsen diff the same ?
if not
which one should i get, the car is turbo and im on the look for 6 spd trany as well.

uh 3.9 or 3.6 maybe even 3.3 if you can get it all depends on the availability they need to be replaced in sets though,

Pretty much what is says is if you are going to a 6 speed, you want a 3.636. Or maybe a 3.3 if you're over 300 whp. MiataRoadster.com has a 3.6 R&P group buy going on right now. In the area of $450 shipped. They're a bit cheaper from Mazda Competition, when/if they ever get in stock again.
