Default Need HP est. for calculations

Hey guys, I'm doing the math for necessary injectors/fuel pressure at each stage of tune that I'm planning on doing, but I'm not quite sure how much HP each stage would be capable of yielding - I was hoping some people with more real world knowledge and experience with these could chime in.

To start, will just install base Greddy turbo kit. 5 psi.

Here's what I'm looking at adding for 8 psi:
-2" dia. IC tubing w/ properly sized IC (~14x9x3) and Bosch recirc. BOV
-Vortech 8:1 disc
-305cc Supra Injectors
-Greddy E-manage Blue
w/ injector harness, timing harness, and 02 clamp
-Wideband (haven't picked which one)
-Boost gauge

I was hoping to be able to do 160 whp (so ~200 crank hp?) or is that too optimistic for 8 psi with those additions on the 15G or could it make more? I'm trying to do the math to make sure the 305's will have enough headroom.

the 305s are enough for 170hp WITHOUT the vortech.

yeah, 8:1 and 305s will way too much fuel. you could probably do 8psi without the vortec, easier to tune that way

you'd be so much happier in the end if you sold the vortec, emanage, and injectors...then went megasquirt with say some 460cc injectors

How is the megasquirt going to save me money? The e manage is hundreds of dollars cheaper. Or, after buying the Emanage plus all the harnesses actually more expensive than buying the megasquirt? MS is like $700... don't you have to buy all the same type of harnesses to hook up to the injectors, timing, etc. just like for the emanage but for the ms?

If you get the plug and play, you don't need any harnesses at all. And that's the one that will cost you $700.

If you get one of Braineacks or build your own PnP, then you'll want to go with a boomslang harness. It will also be significantly less than the PnP.

Either way, go MS

emb with harnesses $350
vortec with dics ~$100
autotune $165

over $600 for all those things, you could do cheaper used and sure it works but i'd much rather pony up the extra cash and go mspnp. i've been through that type of fuel management system and hated the complexity and the cat and mouse tuning. with the ms in place chances are you won't outgrow the capabilities

if you don't run AC you can buy a built standalone MSI for $380 shipped.
- if you want to remove your AFM/MAF add $30 for the GM IAT sensor.
- if you want electronic boost control add $50 for circuit and solenoid.
So a fully loaded MS standalone comes in at $460.

if you want to run AC you can buy a built parallel MSI for $400

a few members on this forum can build you either of the above. I am sure they will chime in for your business.

If you do no run AC I do not see any reason to run the PNP over the built standalone unless you are into the pretty case. I run both a PNP and a built MSI Standalone and there is no difference since I don't even have AC on one of the cars.

can an EMB utilize a wideband signal even to adjust your fueling? can the EMB log it even? or would you have to keep an eye on the gauge to see what tuning needs to be done?
