Default 2* IGN advance - spoolup

Starting to tweak my IGN map with some street tuning. "Added" 1 and then 2 degrees of ign advance to the overal map. No knock and there was a consistent gain in spoolup across the board. Even with the ambient temp diff and greater heat soak. I can only assume the onset was ambient temp.

Before (50F ambient)
onset = 1480
3psi = 2780
6psi = 3350
9psi = 3790
12psi = 4170
After (80F ambient)
onset = 1580
3psi = 2590
6psi = 3130
9psi = 3600
12psi = 3880

Nope. I picked up another BEGi FMU to hold me for now. But I really, really hate the AFM.

I asked FM for a refund last week since they can't get it together for me. Still no Link, and no refund either.

Do they at least give you an excuse? Who are you talking to over there? Tell them to give you a Hydra and you'll pay 50% of the difference

Jeremy.

I don't think they have any Hydras in stock either.

Sorry for the 'jack Rob--Did you get your cap installed? Does it work as intended?

No cap install... yet. Though I'm considering a swept blade fan that's got a lower amp rating instead- at the risk of a restocking fee if it doesn't fit. Found the fan after the cap. Just skeptical of the thickness listed.

I'm surprised FM hasn't acted quickly or responded.

Have you seen this? I don't know what rad you used with your FE3 swap but it's cool none the less unless I'm missing something. Then again it's also $375 :(

My rad is a ford circle track rad- nearly square in shape. I did build a set of shrouds for my narrowed aluminum Miata rad out of steel flat stock and sheet metal, using two 14" fans and it worked quite well. Can't see forking over that kind of dough for one though.
