Default help me pick a replacemnt for my 2554 on 1.6

Ok so my 2554 garrett has some shaft play and puffs smoke every morning. I figure it might be time for a new turbo.
I have the begi installed kit with an intercooler and no bov. I would like to use the same piping and down pipe which is a separated begi downpipe mild steel

Is this one too big

My goals are to someday get to 250-270 rwhp.

But for now I just want to get to 210 or so after I upgrade to a ms diypnp and 460cc injector.

I have great throttle respond right now and I know a larger turbo will mean giving some of that up but how much and would I be better off finding a smaller china turbo.

I cant afford a real garrett right now and will prob never track this competively.
Maybe some fun runs and def some autocross.

What other turbo should I consider. Please list links if possible.

2560 I cant find one for less than 800 and It looks like I would have to get adapters to fit my hose's. Is the one in the listing above much bigger than the 2560 its a .60 this one is .63 does that mean its only a little bigger?

From what I read I agree a 2560 would be great but what is the china charger that would be like it and reliable and under 400?

That turbo is 750, new and free shipping. Did you click my link? Click where I wrote "2560". I can't offer any information on the one you posted.

The adapters are a non issue, they are uber cheap, or you can have the housing machined for your needs. Either way is easy to resolve.

Some people have luck with china turbos, and by luck I mean decent power. It's not likely that one will ever have catastrophic failure. Some people make good numbers, not great. While most are sub par compared "name brand" and by sub par I mean not breaking 300whp @ 30psi. You're going to get the same thing from most people here, search. Look up "DustinB" he used a china turbo and had great results, also the turbo he used will be a direct bolt on for you.

Ok. But it looks like the wastegate actuator is mounted to the housing and could not be clocked. How do i fix that?

These people say they can modify my 2554 with 2560 internals and cermaic bearing for 820 is that something I should consider. I would have to add 60 dollars or so in shipping but everything would fit perfect and from what they say the cermaic bearing are a good upgrade in reliablity over the stock 2560 bearings

Sorry to ask but are you advocating a china turbo or not?

Yes for this situation.

I just realized how poorly I wrote that entire paragraph, my fault.
