Default Injector question?

So I have started my turbo project and just installed 87-89 I dont remember injectors. They were from the N/A rx-7 and they seemed to just plug rite in fine. Anyway here is my question: what if low impedence injectors were installed into a car that requires high impedence w/o adding the resistors and all that.... do you think they would work? I guess im just nervous that I could have gotten the wrong injector, but if I remember correctly the part number matched the injectors that are plug and play.

It is my understanding that they could damage the injectors and/or the ecu if not ran with resistors. Its not like its hard to add resistors anyway....
