I'm looking into gauges and I've found the AEM Serial Datastream gauge to be very appealing. Does anyone know if you still need the Uego controller with it or if this is all you need? I noticed it includes the Bosch sensor so I was unsure. Also, what are your opinions on it? Worth the money or is it a better bet to just get regular mechanical gauges?
Looks like it would work just fine to me and it would be easy to mount just one gauge instead of 3-5 or whatever you wanted.
It's almost the same as megaview for us MS users, though the MV can adjust variables.

Yea that's what I was thinking. The only thing I don't like is that I can't watch every channel at once, so unless something is really going out of the min/max range I won't be able to tell. Plus I'll have to figure out the AEM software to change the values, etc.

I think you are confusing the serial datastream gauge with the WBO2/UEGO gauge. The serial datastream gauge does not come with any sensors, Bosch or otherwise.
If you have the AEM EMS, this is all you need to view a few parameters. I have this gauge, and am disappointed in the difficulty using it. I don't feel like explaining much, but it does not work as advertized. The only things that work/display as they should are coolant temp, air temp, O2, vehicle speed, and TPS. There is no easy way to display knock voltage, engine load (boost), rpm, etc. Engine load is displayed as a percentage of load, and it's difficult to determine or set what "100%" even is. I'd want it to display boost pressure, but haven't figured that out.
EDIT: Everything is explained better here, I am just too lazy to figure out and configure the gauge software. You should be able to display any parameter within AEMPro software.

Hey sorry to dredge this post back up but I'm ready to buy my wideband and datastream gauge, but my post count is still too low to PM. Could you guys email or PM me the prices for both gauges shipped to 32210? Thanks.
