Garrett VTN for MIATA 1.6, 1.8 or 2.0
This has to have been Miata done before. My search technique is prolly bad. That said feel free to educate me on search tech.
Anyway, who is running the above. I think for my ap that is what I want to do.
Any positive direction would be greatly appreciated.

I have read the same. However aren't those turbs placed ''down stream''? I am prolly wrong on that as I have no idea where ''down stream'' is on a 911would be.
There's just got to be a better (simpler) way. Yes VTN mechanism is in itself more complex but greatly reduces the overall number of bits and pieces needed.
I know this has been hashed and rehashed a thousand times before.
However.
I am going ahead with an already fubared plan with an Aerodyne. Yeah. yeah, I have read at least most of the horror stories. I am going headlong into this project with the build in anticipation of moving on to a GT 2554R or something similar when the grenade hits.
Until then I would ask for any truly constructive criticism you might offer.

Even if you only plan on running the Aerodyne until it grenades, the Aerodyne has a slightly different exhaust manifold flange than a T25/T28 and also has a completely different downpipe connection. Changing out to a 25/28 series turbo will require re-machining of the turbo mounting flange on the manifold as well as welding a new "head" on the downpipe.
The Aerodyne has some pluses (if it holds up):
I get 8lbs of boost by 2,200 RPM
Self contained oiling system so no oil lines or coolant lines to run

Answer the questions from my last post and maybe I can offer some advice.
I'll be entirely honest and say that unless you are a very good mechanic and know exactly what you are doing or some one who doesn't mind their car being off the road more than on then you would be wise not to stray too far from the beaten miataturbo.net path. People here get good results built on the experience of the whole forum. Learn from others mistakes and profit.
