Wait for Brian to pipe in--it's what he uses, even has a built in BOV!

Keep in mind older volvo turbos use a special t3 flange. You will either need to fab/buy an adaptor or mill the turbo flange flush like I did. I ended up dumping my volvo turbo for a new gt25r.

If you're in the market for a used t25, go for the gt2554r. You'll have more room to upgrade and it's a great little turbo. I'd look at this one:

This one seems to be in great shape and has low mileage. The "buy it now" is a decent price.

This turbo spools incredibly fast on a 1.8. It's almost instant full boost as soon as you step on the pedal.

There are plenty of t25s out there if you are set on this turbo. Honestly, if I were to do it all over again, I would buy the gt28r for the 1.8. When I started my build, I told myself 200hp would be enough. Now the power bug is really is hitting me and my goals have changed. We'll see how far my little gt2554r gets me.

Volvo turbos have a T3 BOLT PATTERN, but not the standard T3 flange. The Volvo turbine inlet flange will need to be machined down approx 1/8'' to get it to seal on a T3 flange. You could always make a plate adapter to put a T3 on a T2 flange, keep in mind your underhood clearances though, and make sure it seals nicely.

Yes, that's the same turbo I'm running. I, too, milled down the turbin inlet flange, but I noticed the other day that JGS turbo sells the manifold flange to mate correctly to this. Even with the integrated bypass valve, though, you're probably better off going with something more common.

Here's a nice t25 if you're still looking for one:
