The reflective looking wrap that came with my begi kit is looking shaggy. I have some heat wrap made for headers that looks very similar to the stuff from BEGI but it doesn't have the reflective stuff. Will this work as good or does the reflective stuff really make a difference?

its good to have it reflective, but I have some wrap that's exactly the same as what you use for headers, except its a sleeve you slip over the hose. it'll work just fine.

reflective will do a significantly better job at rejecting radiant heat energy. you can get it at summit either in tubes, velcro-on, or as a roll of tape.

I have a fiberglass sleeve on mine which I then wrapped with reflective aluminum tape.

I also wrapped only one of the hoses, the return.
