Default Finish off fuel system this weekend?

I searched, but couldn't find a definite answer:

All right, I only want to have to take off the fuel rail once... But I want to do the dual feed mod, and hook up the Begi AFPR this weekend. That means I have to install the 1.8 IJ's at the same time.

Is there anything wrong with running the 1.8 IJ's for a week or two while still NA. I'll probably run slightly rich but is it a big deal?

Should cause you no trouble at all.

Do you mean without the RX-7 MAF? I'm assuming you do considering your sig. says it's not installed.

Thanks, just curious how different the two injectors are

Shouldn't have a problem. I think I ran that way for a while and then installed my RX-7 AFM, so vice-versa. Either way it's only going to throw the mixture off ever so slightly, and I'm sure the ecu will compenstate.

Correct, RX7 AFM won't go in until full install. But my spare fuel rail got here last night and I'm ithcin' to get it in... only want to do it once. I'm sure that throwing 305's or bigger would make it run way rich, but the 1.8's don't flow so much more that I'll notice it much... but I'll be sure to post what I notice.

Alright, thanks. Gathering info for when it becomes pertinent.

That has been answered before. The only rich condition you should see is during all open loop modes. In closed loop, the O2 sensor should compensate for the rich condition up to about 270 cc injectors.

Sweet, I'm gonna stop by Harbor Freight tomorrow on my way home and get a SAE/Metric tap-and-die set. I don't mind spending money on tools. I'll tap the fuel rail, make a mount for the AFPR, install everything, and post w/the results. But I've gotta go to GW up in DC tonight and give a Dog-and-Pony about the Hawkeye to the Midshipmen there tomorrow morning. Thank you Powerpoint.

Brain, how far are you out of DC (can never remember), maybe I can take a detour prior to going home...

My apt. is right out of DC, just across the Key Bridge actually. But the car is currently garage in Chantilly pending a new window regulator install.

I drove home through it. I saw a lightning bolt hit the metro rail 20 feet away from me, scared the **** out of me!
