Default Turbo options?

Have a 04 MSM block with 99 head that i was running a MSM turbo kit, lost compression in cylinder 2 so decided to pull it out and bore and build the bottom end. Curious to what exactly the factory MSM turbo will handle, also what would be a good upgrade turbo that will allow me to use same manifold and keep my ac and ps and make good power. Sorry if this is in the wrong section or anything. Thanks

Welcome to the forum. Make and intro thread in the Meet and Greet section.

There are no turbos that mount to the factory manifold. You would want to replace it with something better anyway.

There is the BNR upgrade, but that retains the oem hotside and chra. There is really no reason to keep the dinky IHI unless you have a specific reason for it, like passing emissions/inspections/smog.

Pretty sure the MKTurbo setup would swap over and be a huge improvement.
