Bolt size and thread pitch of coolant plug?
What is the bolt size and thread pitch of this coolant plug in the 1.6L block (see pic)?
I'm planning on using it as my coolant source for the turbo.
Note: I have a coldside coolant reroute, and the front of the engine has no t-stat housing, just a freezeplug. The t-stat housing is now at the rear.
I was thinking about using the T-stat bypass hose/heater core hose to just route directly from the rear t-stat housing to the water inlet of the turbo (as seen in the faq pic below), but I think the turbo's coolant lines would be too restrictive and wouldn't flow enough. I do like the idea though. Somehow I think this routing wouldn't allow for enough flow to keep the water pump happy when the t-stat is closed. I suspect this pic is on an engine that doesn't have a reroute/freeze plug on the front of the block, right?
