turbo options gtx 2867 or 63, or modded gt2871
So. I am finally ready to step up from my puny ihi. plus with 60k miles and recently trying to push it to 12 psi It is a ticking bomb. So I am about to call abe and have him start making my manifold
my eventual goal is 350ish hp. so I dont know if the 67 is overkill and the 63 is a better choice because of the faster spool and I have absolutely NO idea how to read compressor maps and there seems to be very little info here for the 63 (search came up with one thread)
I can also get a gt2871 with an precision t3 flanged hotside set up for EWG that is lightly used but in perfect shape for 100 bucks. and at that price is very tempting.
I have also thought about a holset build but i dont think i would be very happy with the spool and would probably be way overkill for my power goal, I would shoot higher but i personally dont want my transmission to explode and i dont have the time and especially money to be replacing a 6 speed every year.

allrighty sounds good. i didnt know if i would miss the spool. or if being a regular gt28 it would beable to hit the hp goals if i do decide to push the tranny's limits. but that does save me about 1400 bucks.
and my buddy co-owns a diesel tuner shop. and i was wanting to get a used
HY35 but they seem to be pretty rare. and new ones fetch almost new garret gt28 prices. vs the hx going for about 400 new.
