I had a JL 8" in my trunk and couldn't hear ----. What's your setup?

I've been debating adding a custom box in the area my convertible top used to go. That would probably be the perfect spot for a couple 10's.

WTF!!!!

WHERE ARE THE CLIPS

C'mon man, don't flake out on us now.
I'm 99.99% sure this will be in my future exhaust build, and want to confirm the awesomeness.

Those are infinity tweeters in the doors (this allows you to hear music with top down), and $7 jamo speakers in the door.

That a 10" Tang Bang shallow sub in a small box that oyu can source on ebay; guy is local who builds them...not the greatest, but they work.

powered through a 500watt 3-channel Kicker amp.

Nothing special, very very very low cost, sounds great. I can listen to music on teh highway with the top down and not miss a beat.

so about those exhaust clips...

And yet if OP reports/proves that his is even quieter (which it should be) and drowns it out with .5 out of 50 he will win this thread

considering that it was designed to reduce the volume on that large *** v8 beyond that of the straight-through counterpart, coupled with the various truck owners that say there's a huge difference in dB between the two, I'm going to think it's going to be a lot quiter than mine already is.

I love how this thread went from him making a MISTAKE and ordering the wrong part to turning into WIN and him possibly discovering an awesome new muff

Damn. Seems simple. I had a 8" JL Microsub with 200w RMS into it in the trunk. Couldn't hear ----. Made a box that went between the seats with that same sub, worked well but was a dumb and ugly location. Also ran 3way 6.5" Infinity Kappas in the doors amp powered and those sounded 'ehh'. Sold them to paul who cut up the rain cup things and bingo bass from the kappas in the doors, dumb.

Your setup makes me want to try again. Anyways...

Alright, here ya go.....

First one is in my garage with the garage door open and my phone below the tailpipe. Second one is top/windows down, 1st gear roll on to 95mph in 4th. It's upside-down because I'm an idiot.

Yo kamura is upside doun brah.

Sounds good though. First one sounds a tiny bit raspy but i take it thats from the cam. Doesnt sound all that different from my straight through magnaflow.

It's funny because the recording makes it sound louder than it actually is. It has gotten a bit louder since brand new though, I've got about 300 miles since install.

With the hardtop on and the windows up it's quieter than stock.

Sounds a lot louder than mine and I have a smaller straight thru magnaflow. In order to really compare you have to have two next to each otehr with the same camera I think.

This muffler looks like a good cheaper alternative to the Big magnaflow. It's a 5x11x22 3" straight through.
