You mean only with system (the IV)? Because I know that people have run much more than that with the voodoo bipes combo. But not specifically on that system. Why such low boost?

300's should be no problem going higher is gonna suck though either way 10 psi properly tuned will max out the voodoo easy. Hell by 9 psi with the right IC'ing or WI will max out 305's.

Wierd, did he say this just for the FM IV kit? I heard other people say that you could only run stockers, but then I asked fm and they said that you can run 305's b/c all the voodoo box does is lenthen pulses in boost. And I know that you can idle 305's on the stock ecu.

Street tuning would be enough for a long while. There are good timing maps for MS available for the 1.8 in turbo form and you can tune fuel with a wideband.

You take a datalog and let MLV make the adjustments for you. Or you use autotune in Megatune while you drive. It's not as hard as you think.

hehe, ok
now... what kind of injectors do i need to reach my goal of 240whp?
is it at all possible with my t25g setup? are there any better turbos to use on that manifold? i know that t25g is pretty limited. i never heard of anyone making more then 250whp on that turbo :/

Well if it's any consolation, my FM kit is taking its sweet time to get to me. I was hoping to get this done during the summer!

And it's too bad that your not using the voodoo box. It's so wierd how lots of people say that it sucks the most enormous *****, and others say that it is a great simple tuning solution. I mean, one guy is running 194whp on one with stock injectors, but I understand that it isn't an ideal final solution if you plan on making big power in the long run. With that said, I plan on going ms a little down the road as well to get to my goal of ~240whp(funny it's the same!), but like soot, I wanted to start with the simple voodoo box because I don't have the slightest clue how to tune an ecu and wouldn't know where to begin.

In the time you've been waiting you could have learned the basics of how to practically tune megasquirt.

haha... i skimmed through tons of info and thats what makes me scared of tuning. all the warnings everywhere make me very nervous - i dont want to spend another $3k on rebuild! (yeah, i would build my engine while its open)

but again... my supercharger is still on the car and it will be there for a week or 2 until i get a promised down payment for it
so 7.5psi jrsc + voodoo for now until i get my turbo situation sorted out.

in the meantime i will finish up my suspension, carpc, and crap like that. i still have to do a lot of interior work and fabrications so my carpc looks good
