Scott, any reason you're messing around with 300ish cc injectors when RX7/RX8 injectors from 460cc to 550cc are fairly plentiful and cheap? Just curious, seems like most people go right for the RX7 stuff.

Might have been because this was almost 4 yrs ago, and when he was likely still compiling the PnP injector list.

Kudos to Benmazda for searching...it's okay to necro threads when it's on topic. Feel free to PM me if you need any more help. Was studying for an exam yesterday and really couldn't be bothered. I have sold those two sets of injectors though, but can help you find others that work.

ON TOPIC: Brainy, can I run two sets of (2) injectors with slightly different resistances (12.5 and 13.7) or will MS be unhappy? Should I pair them on shared output cylinders or mix?

195500-1370 (2)
195500-2020 (2) (these technically flow 5cc less - enough to matter?)

Thanks in advance

I use a Lenovo S10 netbook for most of my web browsing...when the pages get too long, scrolling is painful.

Don't mix injectors. Not only is the flow different, the injector opening times might be different as well. Just get a set of matching injectors.
I bought a set of yellow RX8's (380cc) for like 50$.

I had 460cc matched set, but needed bigger injectors for built motor coming up.

I caught two seperate good deals on RX7 injectors, and didn't think it would be a big deal.

It seems to me that +-5cc is less than the seperation of most sets people send in for cleaning.

Well another problem came up last night. I put in the 195500-1650 from a 89 Turbo Probe. Their resistance was close, they sealed great, and I check the OHMs to see that the were in good working order, but the car wouldn't start. I also had to change out the pig tails no biggy. I check to see if I had fuel pressure. THats not the problems. Haven't checked for spark, but if the car ran 5 minutes ago with stock injects their should be an issue with spark right??? Any thoughts??

So you put them in and expected it to crank and idle?

Have you already got an AFPR?

I didn't go the bandaid route, but it seems to me you'd have to reduce base fuel rail pressure to run right outside of boost, and then increase it with boost to avoid going lean.

While the injectors themselves are PnP in fitment and electrical respects, it's not a plug and play mod. You're trying to pour in about 30% more fuel. FAQs and Wiki both clearly state factory ECU will only idle up to 305cc injectors, and even that requires playing with the AFM spring tension.

Are you smelling a lot of raw fuel during cranking?

Yeah I have a AFPR both before the rail, then a FMU and then another AFPR. I know over kill but Meassure twice, and cut once. LOL As far as the AFM, should I turn it more Lean or Rich to correct?

Benmazda25, where you located, I have a RX7 AFM that might help with your bandaid setup....

I was gonna do 305cc's and the RX7 AFM for 10psi but never got around to installing it all.....that was a few years ago....

Kevin02 I'm in Oregon. Oh and thanks Braineck. I have it set up that way, but the kit didn't include the larger disc that the flat one fits into.
