Turbo choice for new build

Turbo choice for new build
Hi all,
I've been doing some lurking and reading around on turbo kits for the 5 but need some advice.
I'm going to fabricate a manifold and down pipe to suit, but the choice of turbo is complex!
I'm running a standard bottom end atm, and plan to initially run the turbo setup on the standard bottom end before I get my built engine. I've got a 1.8vvt engine that I'm going to build fully balanced and forged etc.
The cars use is going to be used in time attack over here in the UK hopefully for the 2014 season, so we'll want a nice responsive setup with healthy peak delivery.
My final plans is to be circa 260bhp for "normal" use, but for hot laps and sprints etc run the system at around 320-330bhp.
I'm an auto electrician by trade, so will run ECU based electronic boost control to maintain the two different ratings.
Here in the UK people use the GT2560R to good affect, but there are varied reviews with regards to spool etc.
This isn't a chequebook project so any kind of more economical versions would be greatly appreciated!
Check out my build thread on MX5nutz to see the car!

welcome.
2560 is more than likely your huckleberry.
it's good up to about 275 rwhp (~320ish bhp). spools quickly and has a nice tq curve. people have been around 300 rwhp but that's maxed out.
if you feel you need more then 2860 is next and then the 2871.
