Default Options for shaft speed gauge...

Obvious joke first: I have an interest in knowing my maximum shaft speed

With that out of the way, let's remind the group: I have a 2009 NC with the Fab9 EFR 6758 kit strapped to the 100% stock block, cams, intake manifold and ECU. I've hit some sort of performance wall around 18-19psi, and now I want to start applying better science to the situation. One variable I want to know more about is where I am in the compressor map, and the EFR's have a really clean implementation for a shaft speed sensor. What I really need help with is finding a gauge to read the damned thing, since I'm on the stock ECU.

Garret makes one: https://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbo...tt/accessories Crap part here is, they sell you the entire sensor + harness + blah blah blah instead of JUST the gauge. Bleh.

There's also this doohickey: https://www.dccdpro.com/tsspro-turbo-speed-scaler/ which looks like it has some sort of human-readable output. Alternatively I could pipe the linear 0-5vdc output from this box into some other generic cheapo digital sweep gauge and figure out the scaling. Maybe. Actually that last part is probably some fuckery that wouldn't work reliably.

Short of gutting everything to do with the stock ECU and swapping to Haltech, does anyone have better suggestions? I'm at least lightly considering the Haltech route; it sounds like those guys have finally figured out the DSC / ABS integration and now offer (or will be very shortly) a PnP harness-compatible standalone option. i have all the bullshit CANDERPBUS to contend with to keep the car operating like a normal thing, so MS3 isn't a reasonable option :(

Well ****, a lot of help you bastards are! All you fools are running a standalone, so you don't have to deal with the same bullshit like I do. Thus, the negcat is mostly just my jealousy speaking. Gonna buy the Garrett unit, because it does All The Things(TM) and looks to be compatible with any turbo at or below 16 compressor blades. I'll pop back in here some time later to tell you how it went, in case some other poor sap ends up in a similar situation as me.

IRL speed sensor is made by Jaquet Technology Group. All the specs you'd need are on full race's site

Hmm perhaps this could be a fun use for the china arduino I got on prime day.

edit: and a link to the people who BW had make the gauge, per their PDF:

Damn, that's a nice find! Thank you for the Road Rage linkage; I may end up going that route instead.
