Default Blocking EGR Valve

I'm starting to install my turbo and realized that my manifold does not have a egr fitting. What will happen if I block off the pipe? Is it bad? Or should I have the muffler shop figure out something when they are fixing my downpipe?

no egr no problem. atleast from my experiences
