Question GM IAT sensor

Has anyone considered getting a GM IAT sensor from the junkyard. I know it would be smart to check the resistance of the sensor before even thinking of using it, but I figured that it would be a cool source for that type of part.

I read somewhere on a LS forum that we can use the IAT sensor off of the 80s cameros and firebirds.
Can anyone confirm this or have any advice on the subject?

sure, you can.
but for 20 bux, I'd rather have a shiny new one with pigtail from DIY, with known provided values and everything

Yea I totally agree 20 doll-hairs is pretty hard to beat with the pigtail. I was looking at that earlier and was thinking how great of a deal it was.

I was just thinking about the Junkyard ones for backups or spare parts for if something goes wrong.
