help: What turbo is this??
Got it on Craigslist following a link I found on this forum.
It's part of a FM kit from way back when, it's small and has sleeve bearings.
I need to rebuild it but for that, I need to know what it is fist so I can get the
correct parts.
The turbo works, I get about 9PSI (that's what the wastegate seemt to be set to) but makes a nasty screetching noise under boost.
I took it apart, the turbine side anyway (I need to go buy snap ring pliers to take the compressor side appart) and there's a bit of play in the shaft.

Correction, the turbine wheel is 53mm, the compressor wheel is 60mm.
That would make it a 2560.
How much boost can 2560 deliver?
It made a nasty screeching noise under boost, so I got a rebuild kit and rebuilt it.
(what a PITA to get the lower rear nut back onto the manifold stud...).
It still makes quite a bit of noise, not so bad under boost but once get off the throttle
it sounds nasty. Almost sounds like the stamped sheet metal disk behind the turbine
is making contact with the turbine wheel (the rebuild kit didn't come with a new one).
Since it still makes noise, I checked the oil flow, I got about a pint of oil after 20 sec
of idling, is that enough?
