Precision 4828
I've been looking at turbos over the past few months, and I was wondering if anyone had any experience or knowledge with the Precision 4828?
I'm down to a GT2560 and a Precision 4828 as my choices. I know, I know, EFR is God - but my setup renders using an EFR impossible without getting an entirely new setup.

Spec wise, looks close to the GT2860RS, but with dual ceramic ball bearings, a billet compressor wheel and $42 more retail.
Seems full of win to me.
Or for less than half $, you can get their entry level/standard wheel/standard bearing/oil cooled/EWG.

It has a map "Comparable" to the GTX2860. Precision refuses to release compressor maps, always has IIRC - but in dynos, it outperforms the 2860RS in both spool and output, and is efficient to HigherBoostThanI'dEverRun.
I can pick up a 4828 for around the same cost as a 2860, which for obvious reasons makes the 2860 not an option.
So it's basically 2560 vs 4828, as a 2860 would be a silly option due to the 4828.

Do you want more power potential and more cost? Or lower cost and lower power potential, and probably better spool? Seems like only you can answer your question here.

Although, I do believe his question was more "who has experience with Precision turbos" rather than "which turbo should I buy". Looking for experiences dealing with the company, quality of product, etc?

My main worry is company and warranty-related, and/or BP-specific experience.
I hate being a guinea pig for this sort of thing, been trying to dig up anything I can with respect to precision or the 4828.

Can you post a link to where you saw it performing similarly to the 2560? Or did you see them in person locally?
My limited experience with Precision has been great (only bought one turbo & wastegate from them so far). Lots of guys where I work have precision turbos, dealt with them directly, and all of them also say they are great. I could not find a single bad thing someone said about them, at least in the past few years. There was a while between when they got their stuff from garrett and when they made their own parts where they were sourcing their stuff from turbonectics or other shady chinese sources and their quality/reputation suffered, but that's been a few years. No problems since, according to the internets. I would like to think of them like Jesel...smaller privately owned USA manufacturing company where the owner works every day and if you have a problem, call 'em up and they would be happy to make it right. Call up with a 'tude though and it may not be good.
Casting quality is above garrett on my turbo. Machine work on the comp. wheel is impressive.

What are you guys getting for pricing?
Can you find out what A/R the local tuner was running when he had it spooling as well as a 2560?
I would run the .64 if you were running a stock engine, and consider the .86 if you had a built engine/6 speed/etc.

I contacted nate@maperformance.com directly, and asked him for his best quote on a 4828. $1045 from him at the time of the quote.
It may have changed since I ordered, YMMV, etc. etc.
