Question DIY turbo on a 1999 Miata?

Hi everyone, I am looking to build a DIY kit for a 99' Miata. I currently have a 1991 with a Greddy turbo that I plan on selling. I was wondering if I could make the greddy kit work on the 99'? If not can I use any parts from that kit on the 99'? Here is a list of what I have:
1) Greddy turbo kit, 2) Bailey VTA BOV, 3) Custom IC and piping, 4) Greddy Profec B manual boost controller, 5) Emanage Blue, 6) 330 CC injectors. I also have 305 CC injetors, stock greddy kit Fuel Pressure Regualtor.

I am trying to build a cheap turbo system to start that will get me around 160 to 170 HP.

I also found this turbo manifold on ebay:

If I went this route what turbo would I want and how does the downpipe attatch to it?

Thanks.

keep everything, sell the turbo/manifold/dp/fmu

figure out another combo, modify the rest to fit.

If you want to use that manifold I would bandsaw the manifold just like the greddy to help prevent cracking. As for the Turbo to use with that manifold, any cheap T3 would work. You would want something like this.

or a T3-60 from a SVO mustang or Thunderbird Supercoupe.

You should make 160-170 HP at about 4-5 PSI.

if you really want a t3, check the for/sale seciton, a very nice one for 200 bones, should be 60 or s60 trim.

Thanks guys. This may be a stupid question but on the ebay manifold above where does the downpipe connect? On the grddy manifold for the 1.6 doesn't the turbo bolt to the top of the manifold and the downpipe bolt to the bottom of the manifold??? Thanks again.

The downpipe always bolts to the turbo. If you have an external wastegate, that will bolt to the manifold, however. With an external wastegate, there may be a seperate pipe that connects to it and merges with the downpipe, or it may just be a dump pipe to atmosphere.

Internal wastegate, so the downpipe only bolts to the turbo:
